I was a guest at Guest Haven Coffee who enjoyed heaven in a cup
A red smiling cup. Can you see it?
I think the Hive bug had left me. I used to be that motivated to post here once a day but lately, I can't bring myself to be as active as I wanted to be.
So while time in hand, I browsed through my phone gallery and saw these photos I have when we visited Guest Haven. This gave me enough motivation to come here and share this with you.
Since this new cafe opened and we saw posts about it online, we have been meaning to go visit it. Our first attempt was unsuccessful for it was closed at that time on a Saturday. That's interesting I thought. They are located in the heart of the city and they are closed on a weekend.
We went there on a Sunday and thankfully they were open and it was not a busy time. Lucky. There was only one table occupied.
This building is one of the oldest in the city. There used to be more offices here back then but now more cafes can be found here.
The place is small as you can see. It's a one room with a little balcony where you can see the road below and some view of the city. Two seats can fit in there and you can choose to sit there. We chose to sit by the window.
I like what they have done to the place. The color scheme of the furniture and the overall interior of the place plus the warm lighting give off a nice ambiance. It helps that it is has a high ceiling making the room look larger and spacious.
While the choices of drinks are basic with not much to choose from, that is understandable for they are still new. I'm sure more will be added soon. There weren't even available choices of desserts. They do have breakfast meals and sandwiches but we were not interested then. Maybe next time.
I ordered a cup of Americano while my partner had Cafe Latte. I find the Americano strong just the way I like it. Guessing from my partner's empty cup later on, I guess the latte was good too :D
Of course I had to take mandatory photos before anything else.
This was a Sunday and the road below was closed to vehicles. Session Road market encounter is not just about food and other items for sale but it's about art, music and entertainment.
Here's another shot of my partner's order. It is only now that I am posted this that I have seen the spoon reflected on the cup which looks like a smile. I guess it's a reminder to me especially to smile more. There are lots of things to be grateful for and to smile for.
Okay, cup and spoon, yes, I will.
We then waited for our friend to arrive while enjoying our own cups. By the time we were done with our coffee, the place started to get busy and that's our cue.
Thanks to coffee at Guest Haven Coffee. It saved my day for I have something to write here in Hive.
Guest Haven Coffee is located at Patria De Baguio near Baguio Cathedral.
Barbaru da atoy?
Despite being a rather small place, as you say, the high ceiling makes it look more spacious, I love the details of the decor and the view to the street the best option if we take a coffee alone.
Indeed. I hope they have more choices for food and drinks soon.
😉
Parang Ang sarap magtambay dyan tapos alone time. And yes Kita ko Yung smile 😁
Ou kaso nasisikipan ako hehe.
Haha I see the smile on the cup. That Cafe looks amazing. I love the decor. It's like a cross between so many nice things. Sort of cottagey but with an urban apartment vibe to it as well... very cool
A little place but lots of things come to you all at once :D
Ang ganda dyan. Nakaka relax. Yun quality ng picture mo mas nakaka intriga mag punta dyan para mabisita.
Salamat sa pag appreciate :)
Hello, what a nice publication, the effect of the smile on the red cup is great, it is certainly a spectacular coffee that reflects that vintage touch that I like so much, I hope you had a great time and create unforgettable memories. A hug

The place is small but cozy. Maybe they designed that place for commuters to spend little time while waiting for something. While it’s a rush below, this cafe is just laid back. 😌
It got really busy later on when we left. I think all seats were filled :D
The pictures you captured at this coffee shop are great! I could almost feel like I was in there sipping my hot coffee.
Indeed it's a nice place to be. Definitely one of my recent favorites :)
Hello @leeart
I'm glad that you found the motivation to write this post because that's a lovely-looking coffee shop. The decor is amazing. I love the mix of materials used and the colour scheme. I agree with the comments I've seen on your post too.
