Candle in a frame for POBphotocontest New Round: FRAMING

My entry to @friendlymoose' pob contest.

I like how this looks like a rose.

I first read the post of @bloghound about the new contest by @friendlymoose which is POBphotocontest New Round: FRAMING so I decided a candle in a frame. Read the post of @friendlymoose for more information about this contest.
I initially thought of using this miniature pig in a beer barrel. I tried using leaves and glasses as frames but finally ended with using the acetate of a face shield that we have in stock. Aside from the acetate is good for framing, it also reflects your subject depending on the subject and the light. I was okay with the outcome using the acetate and my pig as the subject but I wasn't that satisfied. I was actually planning on using photos that I took before using the face shield but then decided to take new photos on other subjects instead. Back when I was active in noise.cash, I held a contest for that using the face shield and finding what you can create with it.
I am again undecided which of the candles photos should I enter for this contest. What I like about the first photo is that although the flame is not well focused, I like the overall outcome of the photo. It's like an eye or a center of a universe or a wheel in motion. I do like the second photo too for it looks like a rose or some kind of flower.
So for this photography exercise, I used the acetate of an old face shield.
I began by separating the frame from the acetate. You only need the acetate anyway.
Then roll the acetate. You can play with how much you want your subject to be framed. You can control how big or small you want it to be. What I did is the other end has a smaller opening which is what I placed next to my phone's camera. The wider opening is to the subject. You can then secure that with tape or whatever but I chose to just hold it.
Finally, find the right subject you want to frame and click! If you decide to use a candle or fire like what I did, be sure to not get too close to the fire else the acetate will melt or burn. Mine almost did.
Have fun!

Salamat kabsat :D
Wow! I'm actually thinking about what kind of reflector you used to have that kind of shot, but as I read at the end. No way! You just used an old face shield? That's so creative.
I loved your concept, the editing, and the final outcome. A photographer is indeed a photographer. Art and imagination are what feed them to produce stunning and breathtaking photos. I think you are one of them.
I like doing this when I first tried using the acetate. You can get different results depending on the subject. It's also important to have enough light so the shield can reflect things in it. Thanks much!
What you did with the face shield is fantastic! I have a lot of unused face shields here. I'll give that trick a shot!
That will surely give you some creative shots :D
