En este estadio se jugaron varios partidos de la Copa America en el año 2007, recuerdo haber asistido a casi todos los juegos e incluso otros posteriores a dicho evento, quizas no es el mas grande de Venezuela pero sin duda que es bastante acogedor, hoy pude visitarlo nuevamente ya que tuve una reunión de trabajo en el auditorio del polideportivo que además cuenta con pista de atletismo, cancha de baloncesto y otros deportes bajo techo.
El año de la inauguración de este imponente estadio coincidió con la copa america de 2007 y fue tan apresurado que recuerdo haber visto a un lado toda la maquinaria pesada a pocos metros del estadio durante los partidos, casi ni habia dado chance de retirarlas.
El estadio de futbol consta de una zona de Palcos, una grada principal y una tribuna unida por dos puentes a rampas tipo espiral para la salida segura de todos los visitantes durante los encuentros, de acuerdo a datos oficiales pueden ingresar de 41600 a 44mil espectadores dependiendo de la distribución de las tribunas.

This stadium hosted several Copa America matches in 2007. I remember attending almost all of the games and even others after the event. It may not be the largest in Venezuela, but it is certainly very welcoming. Today I was able to visit it again because I had a work meeting in the auditorium of the sports center, which also has an athletics track, basketball court, and other indoor sports.
The year of the inauguration of this imposing stadium coincided with the 2007 Copa America and it was so rushed that I remember seeing all the heavy machinery on one side a few meters from the stadium during the matches. There was hardly a chance to remove it.
The soccer stadium consists of a box area, a main stand, and a grandstand connected by two bridges to spiral ramps for the safe exit of all visitors during the matches. According to official data, 41,600 to 44,000 spectators can enter depending on the distribution of the stands.
