Colors of life Contest Round 3 - Red

Habanero peppers, commonly called Ata robo in my country, are used to season meals. It gives food an irresistible aroma in addition to its distinct flavor. Its bright red color enhances cuisine, giving it a mouthwatering appearance and flavor.

How can you add color into the lives of others, just as the habanero pepper spices and beautifies cuisine with its red hue?

Are these hot and spicy? I like both, sweet and hot peppers but I think we do not have this typw naturaly here in our place.

I can just imagine the rich aroma and bold flavor they add to a meal. It’s amazing how something so small can have such a big impact on both the taste and look of food.

Absolutely beautifully captured! These chilies are deceptive in their appearance as one somehow wants to just pop one in their moth as a snack. I definitely DO NOT recommend that 🤦‍♀️🤣

However, that being said, if one knows how to prepare them properly they can be an absolutely incredibly flavour boost to any meal. Aside from their hotness, the are also naturally very flavorful. In fact I used to use them in my while we still had them growing in our garden.

When working with habaneros I recommend gloves and goggles and letting them "rest" in olive oil for at least a week before trying anything with them.

You are absolutely right. Some days I use my bare hands without gloves, the hotness on my palm takes long before I get relieved.

🤣🤣🤣 I bet no one will try snacking on it

Oh lord I learned my lesson when I burned myself right up to my elbows! Another great trick it using fresh lemon. Just literally chop one on half and use the two halves to clean your arms with warm soap water after working with any chilis. The lemon neutralizes the chili!

Thank you for your kind words. If only you can get the seed, you can plant it in your garden

I will! Before spring... Somehow. They will love the heat here and I think they will grow well. I've grown them before with great success. But not here.

Beautiful color that can brighten our day and make the dish looks more appetizing for many people. But perhaps I can only manage a tiny tiny dash of habanero sauce on my food as spicy food is my weakness. Is this usually part of your food preparation?

Yes it is, I enjoy using it but because of my kids I don't use too much of it because it's spicy but whenever I'm cooking for myself I use it well because I like it
