¡Hola! 🖐 Amigos de Hive, hoy tengo el placer de presentarme ante ustedes, mi nombre es RAFAEL PARRA, pero desde hace un tiempo, adopté la palabra LEAFARP como el nombre de mi marca personal.

Todo inició en la universidad, donde comencé a identificar los recursos y el material didáctico que elaboraba para ejecutar las prácticas, y presentar las evaluaciones de las diferentes asignaturas. El nombre LEAFARP surgió por el procedimiento que consiste en crear una palabra a partir de la reordenación de las letras de otra palabra, mejor conocido como anagrama.

A partir de la reordenación de las letras que forman el nombre Rafael, surgieron las siguientes palabras: Elfara, Aleafr, Fralae, Ealarf y finalmente Leafar; que en reverso es Rafael.

Como mi nombre es RAFAEL PARRA le quise incorporar la inicial de mi apellido para personalizar un poco más mi marca, dando como resultado: LEAFARP.

Hello! Friends of Hive, today I have the pleasure to introduce myself to you, my name is RAFAEL PARRA, but since some time ago, I adopted the word LEAFARP as the name of my personal brand.

It all started at the university, where I began to identify the resources and teaching materials that I developed, to execute the practices and present the evaluations of the different subjects. The name LEAFARP arose from the procedure that consists of creating a word from the rearrangement of the letters of another word, better known as anagram.

From the rearrangement of the letters that form the name Rafael, the following words emerged: Elfara, Aleafr, Fralae, Ealarf and finally Leafar; which in reverse is Rafael.

As my name is RAFAEL PARRA I wanted to incorporate the initial of my last name to personalize my brand a little more, resulting in: LEAFARP.

Soy orgullosamente venezolano. En el año 1991, tuve el privilegio de nacer en la ciudad de Barquisimeto - Estado – Lara.

Actualmente tengo 32 años. En mi tiempo libre me gusta hacer ejercicio, manejar bicicleta y bailar salsa casino.

A los 20 años, inicié mis estudios en la carrera de Ingeniería Civil en la Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA), y simultáneamente cursé la carrera de Educación Integral en la Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador.

Por ser universidades públicas se veían afectadas por problemas de presupuesto económico, esto trajo como consecuencia que los semestres se excedieran del tiempo regularmente planificado. En aquel momento la UCLA se veía más afectada que la UPEL, a tal punto que en 6 años logré graduarme de profesor, mientras que en ese mismo tiempo alcancé cursar el quinto semestre de Ingeniería Civil.

I am proudly Venezuelan. In 1991, I had the privilege of being born in the city of Barquisimeto - Lara State.

I am currently 32 years old. In my free time I like to exercise, ride a bicycle and dance salsa casino.

At the age of 20, I began my studies in Civil Engineering at the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA), and simultaneously I studied Integral Education at the Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador.

As they were public universities, they were affected by economic budget problems, which caused the semesters to exceed the regularly planned time. At that time UCLA was more affected than UPEL, to such an extent that in 6 years I managed to graduate as a teacher, while in the same time I managed to complete the fifth semester of Civil Engineering.

A pocos meses de haber recibido mi título de profesor, encontré dos propuestas laborales como docente, la primera en una institución pública en el turno de la mañana, y la otra en un Centro de Capacitación Laboral para jóvenes en el turno de la tarde; lo que me llevó a tomar la decisión de paralizar mis estudios de ingeniería.

Actualmente, en ambos empleos tengo 5 años de experiencia laboral, donde he tenido la oportunidad de crecer profesionalmente y compartir mis conocimientos.

En la institución pública desempeño mi labor como docente de aula. Un año después de haber iniciado a trabajar, decidí comenzar una especialización en la enseñanza del idioma inglés para la educación primaria, donde aprendí estrategias para enseñar a mis estudiantes el vocabulario básico de este idioma; a través de juegos, canciones, dinámicas y recursos didácticos. Desde que comencé esta especialización, me dedico a motivar a mis estudiantes a adquirir las bases de este idioma para que se les haga más fácil entender esta asignatura cuando la cursen en secundaria.

Por otro lado, en el Centro de Capacitación Laboral, inicié los dos primeros años como instructor de artes manuales, donde enseñé a mis estudiantes a crear obras de arte con materiales reciclables, tales como el papel, cartón, botellas plásticas y de vidrio, entre otros. Ya que desde muy pequeño desarrollé la creatividad y el talento de crear con las manos. Aprendí técnicas de dibujo y pintura, las cuales llevé a la práctica, haciendo láminas, pintando cuadros en bases de MDF y creando murales para personalizar espacios de casas, tales como salas y habitaciones. Este talento me permitió generar ingresos en mi época de estudiante.

A few months after receiving my teaching degree, I found two job offers as a teacher, the first one in a public institution in the morning shift, and the other one in a Job Training Center for young people in the afternoon shift; which led me to make the decision to stop my engineering studies.

Currently, in both jobs I have 5 years of work experience, where I have had the opportunity to grow professionally and share my knowledge.

In the public institution I work as a classroom teacher. A year after I started working, I decided to start a specialization in English language teaching for elementary education, where I learned strategies to teach my students the basic vocabulary of this language; through games, songs, dynamics and didactic resources. Since I started this specialization, I am dedicated to motivate my students to acquire the basics of this language to make it easier for them to understand this subject when they take it in high school.

On the other hand, at the Centro de Capacitación Laboral, I started the first two years as an instructor of manual arts, where I taught my students to create works of art with recyclable materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic and glass bottles, among others.

Since I was very young I developed the creativity and talent to create with my hands. I learned drawing and painting techniques, which I put into practice, making sheets, painting pictures on MDF bases and creating murals to personalize spaces in houses such as living rooms and bedrooms. This talent allowed me to generate income during my student days.

Meses antes de iniciar la pandemia, la coordinadora general del centro me comenta, que está en la necesidad de habilitar una nueva área de estudio en el centro de capacitación, y viendo mis habilidades en el uso de la tecnología, me propone realizar cursos de especialización para la enseñanza online y gestión de redes sociales, con el fin de ofrecerme un cambio de área.

Como siempre me ha llamado la atención el uso de la tecnología como herramienta indispensable para el avance y desarrollo de cualquier área profesional, no lo pensé ni un instante y le dije que aceptaba su propuesta. Desde entonces, inicié mi formación y al caer la pandemia pude poner en práctica el nuevo conocimiento adquirido hasta el momento, siendo un apoyo para mis compañeros de trabajo, que no estaban muy familiarizados con el impartir las clases a distancia.

Soy un apasionado por el conocimiento, y comparto la idea de que todos los días hay algo nuevo que aprender, pero no basta solo con saberlo, es necesario practicarlo.

Es aquí donde entra en vigencia una de las tantas frases escritas por Platón que dice:

"El que aprende y aprende y no practica lo que sabe, es como el que ara y ara y no siembra".

Months before the pandemic began, the general coordinator of the center told me that she was in need of a new area of study in the training center, and seeing my skills in the use of technology, she proposed me to take specialization courses for online teaching and management of social networks, in order to offer me a change of area.

As the use of technology has always attracted my attention as an indispensable tool for the advancement and development of any professional area, I did not think about it for a moment and I said I accepted his proposal. Since then, I started my training and when the pandemic hit I was able to put into practice the new knowledge acquired so far, being a support for my coworkers, who were not very familiar with teaching distance classes.

I am passionate about knowledge, and I share the idea that every day there is something new to learn, but it is not enough just to know it, it is necessary to practice it.

It is here where one of the many phrases written by Plato comes into effect that says:

"He who learns and learns and does not practice what he knows, is like he who plows and plows and does not sow".

I want to mention that I really like my teaching profession, but at present it is not something that allows me to generate much income, which led me to the need to look for other alternatives that would allow me to have extra income.

Since a year ago I started as an event decorator, which has been a very rewarding experience, because I have had the opportunity to train myself in the art of decorating with fabrics and balloons, cultivating day by day the talent that God gave me. I have even been able to create my own furniture to offer alternatives to clients.

In the same way, I have been giving private workshops on cell phone photography, since my purpose is to have my own academy both in person and online for teaching technology applied to any professional area.

And it was in one of those photography workshops where I met @anamariag, an excellent participant who told me about her experience in HIVE. It was the first time I had heard about the community, and I was really struck by her excitement when she talked about Hive. Her words aroused my curiosity to know more about this platform, and I started to investigate to find out what it was all about, but I didn't understand much. Fortunately, @anamariag put me in contact with @soy-laloreto who has given me his support, along with the excellent team of HIVE DESDE CERO, including @ilazramusic, @lunaticanto, @elizabeths14, where through their classes I have been training me to take my first steps in this community.

My purpose of Hive is to learn about this immense ecosystem. Where I am sure I will have the opportunity to cultivate my creativity, exchange and transmit experiences.
