Kamieńczyka waterfall in southern Poland
🌊 Kamieńczyk Waterfall – a Gem of the Karkonosze Mountains
📍 Karkonosze Mountains, Poland
📅 July 2025
During a short business trip to Jelenia Góra, I managed to steal a few hours and escape into the mountains — and found myself at one of the most stunning spots in the region: Kamieńczyk Waterfall.
It’s the highest waterfall on the Polish side of the Karkonosze, with three cascades totaling about 27 meters in height. The rushing water creates a mesmerizing spectacle surrounded by mossy rocks and deep green forest.
🌲 In summer, the area bursts with vibrant greenery, and the sound of the water echoes through the Kamieńczyk Valley.
I photographed it in the afternoon light, which beautifully revealed the texture of the rocks and created that soft, silky flow of water through long exposure.

💬 If you ever find yourself near Szklarska Poręba, this place is a must-see. The short trail from the parking area is absolutely worth it — nothing compares to the sound and power of Kamieńczyk in person.
You can also stop by the nearby Kamieńczyk Shelter for a perfect post-hike rest.
