Overhand 1 in Świętochłowice – a victorious night for Witold Lisek

On December 6th, 2025, the first Overhand 1 boxing gala took place in Świętochłowice in Poland, and I had the pleasure of being there as a photographer. It was an evening full of energy, emotion, and that unmistakable fight-night atmosphere—lights, adrenaline, and the rhythmic thud of gloves against the ropes.

The moment I anticipated the most was, of course, the fight of my friend Witold Lisek, who faced the tough and aggressive Jovan Knezevic. From the very first bell both fighters went straight into exchanges—tight clinches, short but brutal combinations, and the air thick with tension and sweat, shimmering in the ringside lights.

Witold set the tone early. He moved confidently, looked for openings to counter, and gradually pressured Jovan into the corners. When he landed a clean right hand in the second round, the whole arena froze for a split second—then exploded. Jovan went down, and the fight ended with an emphatic knockout. Capturing moments like this through the lens is pure sports essence.

It was one of the most exciting bouts of the whole event, and Witold’s win was a perfect payoff for all the hard work he had put into his preparation. I’m glad I could be there with my camera and document every second of it.

I’m already looking forward to the next Overhand gala—if it matches the intensity of the first one, this series is going to be something special.
