RECUERDOS DE NAVIDAD [SPANISH- ENG]
Hola y buenas noches comunidad de Life Style en mi primera entrega y con motivo de esperar con ancias la añorada navidad queria hablar un poco acerca de algunos recuerdos que ahora me vienen a la mente de navidades anteriores y de como nos divertiamos en familia para estas festividades.
Hello and good evening Life Style community in my first installment and because of looking forward to the long awaited Christmas I wanted to talk a little about some memories that now come to my mind of previous Christmas and how we had fun as a family for these holidays.
Cuando eramos mas pequeñas, mi familia y yo teniamos por costumbre de visitar a mis primos y tios en la provincia de Holguìn en el oriente de Cuba. Casi siempre emprendiamos viaje para los dias 18 o 19 de diciembre para que coincidiera con algunos cumpleaños y asi aumentar el motivo de tanta algarabia en la casa de los Avila.
When we were younger, my family and I used to visit my cousins and uncles in the province of Holguìn in eastern Cuba. We would almost always leave on the 18th or 19th of December to coincide with some birthdays to increase the reason for so much merriment in the Avila's house.
No faltaron las reuniones grupales, los afamados juegos de domino a partir de las cuatro de la tarde y el intercambio de participantes para darle una vuelta a la pua donde se hazaba el lechon entero para luego degustar en la cena.
There was no lack of group meetings, the famous domino games starting at four o'clock in the afternoon and the exchange of participants to give a turn to the pua where the whole suckling pig was made to be tasted at dinner.
Mis primos casi todos son varones y la gran mayoria de ellos casi siempre traian alguna compañera para que compartiera con nosotros el agradable rato. En una ocasion uno de los primos el mayor llevo a la que hoy actualmente es su esposa y empezamos a establecer un vinculo muy estrecho y agradable con la muchacha.
My cousins almost all of them are cowboys and the great majority of them almost always brought some female companion to share with us the pleasant time. On one occasion one of the older cousins brought his wife who is now his wife and we began to establish a very close and pleasant bond with the girl.
Poco a poco y con el paso de los años las fiestas fueron mermando porque cada uno de nosotros comenzo a labrar su propio proyecto de vida ya sea dentro o fuera de Cuba y ya casi que para el 2022 quedaban muy pocos de nosotros con los cuales era complicado incluso reunirse por lo ajetrado que se vive en la actualidad.
Little by little and with the passing of the years the parties were diminishing because each one of us began to carve out our own life project either inside or outside Cuba and by 2022 there were very few of us left with whom it was complicated even to meet because of the hectic way of life nowadays.
En mi memoria aun conservo varios recuerdos de aquellos dias inmemorables; los cuales añoro constantemente. Si bien es cierto que la navidad tiene la magia para reunir a todos y compartir un agradable momento juntos al parecer esta navidad sera un poco diferente para mi gran familia holguinera donde de un total casi que de doce personas quedan mas o menos que la mitad de la mitad por la acelerada emigracion que ha detonado la crisis economica que atravesamos a diario.
In my memory I still keep several memories of those immemorial days, which I miss constantly. While it is true that Christmas has the magic to bring everyone together and share a pleasant moment together, it seems that this Christmas will be a little different for my big family in Holguin, where out of a total of almost twelve people, more or less half of them are left due to the accelerated emigration that has triggered the economic crisis we are going through every day.
Pero este es un tema del cual no me gusta hablar mucho porque me pone muy sencible y solo pienso en mis primos que ya no volvere a ver como antes y ahora en mi hermana la cual ha decidido asumir tan importante paso para abrirse camino en mejores condiciones.
But this is a subject that I don't like to talk much about because it makes me very sensitive and I only think about my cousins that I will never see again as before and now about my sister who has decided to take such an important step to make her way in better conditions.
Es por ello que atravez de este post he querido co.partir algumas instantaneas que reflejan el.contenido anteriormsnte relatado todas ellas de mi autoria.
That is why through this post I wanted to share some snapshots that reflect the above content, all of them of my authorship.
