Mi amanecer de todos los lunes

Con los buenos días

Hoy, mientras estiraba los brazos en mi calentamiento previo antes de comenzar mi rutina para bajar y subir cinco veces los cuatro pisos del edificio donde vivo, en medio de la brisa fresca que me regala este rincón de amada Venezuela, con el cielo despejado, pero esperando que sea pintado de naranja, vino a mi mente una palabra que muchas veces olvidamos, y es la paciencia.

Paciencia para entender que el sol no aparece de golpe, a pesar de que eso parece, sin embargo, primero él va saliendo tímidamente se asoma desde ese oriente que acompaña mi mirada, a veces pasa que el cielo está nublado y el sol sale entre las nubes, pero la paciencia me recompensa con una hermosa salida del sol.

Esa palabra paciencia también sirve para aceptar que los sueños no llegan en moto, sino caminando, que la paciencia sirve para abrazar cada día, incluso los lunes, con esperanza en vez de estar quejándote.

Esta mañana, como siempre a las 5 y 6 de la mañana, tomé mi foto. Pero no solo capturé el amanecer, también capturé mi compromiso conmigo mismo para seguir adelante, lento si es necesario, pero con constancia, hoy lunes tengo muchas cosas que enfrenar en el trabajo, me toca hacer algo que no quiero hacer, pero es necesario, y justo ese conflicto me afecta, pero se que con la paciencia poder entender que lo mejor es lo que sucede.

Porque siempre lo he dicho y repetido en mi amanecer de todos los lunes, hay quienes ven el lunes como un castigo, y yo lo veo como un privilegio. El lunes me permite empezar, reencontrarme, reinventarme si hace falta. Me recuerda que estoy vivo, que aún hay café por tomar, abrazos por dar y caminos por recorrer.

Así que si hoy sientes que estás estancado, recuerda que no se trata de velocidad, sino de dirección, siempre camina con propósito, siempre con fe y con esa terquedad bonita que tenemos los venezolanos cuando nos proponemos algo.

El sol ya salió… ahora te toca a ti salir también.

My Monday Sunrise

With a good morning

Good morning. Today, while stretching my arms during my warm-up before starting my routine of going up and down the four floors of the building where I live—five times in total—in the midst of the fresh breeze that this beloved corner of Venezuela offers me, and under a clear sky that is still waiting to be painted orange, a word came to my mind that we often forget: patience.

Patience to understand that the sun does not appear all at once, even though it may seem so. It first slowly peeks out from the east that accompanies my gaze. Sometimes the sky is cloudy and the sun comes out between the clouds, but patience rewards me with a beautiful sunrise.

That word—patience—also reminds me that dreams do not arrive by motorcycle, but by walking. Patience helps us embrace each day, even Mondays, with hope instead of complaint.

This morning, as always at 5:06 a.m., I took my photo. But I did not only capture the sunrise—I also captured my commitment to myself to keep moving forward, slowly if necessary, but with consistency. Today, Monday, there are many things I must face at work. I have to do something I do not want to do, but it is necessary. That inner conflict affects me, but I know that with patience I can understand that what happens is often for the best.

As I always say in my Monday sunrise reflections: some see Monday as a punishment, but I see it as a privilege. Monday allows me to begin, reconnect with myself, and reinvent myself if needed. It reminds me that I am alive—that there is still coffee to drink, hugs to give, and roads to travel.

So, if you feel stuck today, remember that it is not about speed, but about direction. Walk with purpose, walk with faith, and with that beautiful stubbornness we Venezuelans have when we commit to something.

The sun has already risen... now it is your turn to rise as well.
