A Little Bit of Everything

Dear friends and fans of the Black and White community, walking through the city of Caracas in different directions allowed me to capture images where the urban landscape blends with art, revealing hidden details in its streets, those walls covered in graffiti that, when restored, express the artist's feelings through their street art. When we see all these elements that come together in the city—its buildings, plazas, and people—and capture them in black and white, it becomes captivating, as the details of the buildings' architecture are revealed, and the daylight highlights the textures and shadows of the city.

De Todo Un Poco

Queridos amigos amantes de la comunidad Blanco y Negro. Caminar por la ciudad de Caracas a diferentes rumbos me permitió capturar imágenes donde el paisaje urbano se mezcla con el arte y nos hace descubrir esos detalles ocultos que se encuentran en sus calles, esos muros con grafitis, que al ser recuperados expresan a través de sus formas el sentir del artista con su arte callejero. Cuando vemos todos esos elementos que se reúnen en la urbe, ya sean sus edificios, plazas y personas, y lo mostramos en blanco y negro, resulta atrayente, ya que se ven los detalles en la arquitectura de los edificios y la luz del día resalta las texturas y sombras de la ciudad.

As I passed through different areas, the landscape changed. I took photos from a moving bus in the morning, and my monochromatic images emphasized the grays, while the afternoons brightened the entire panorama. I spent different days in these places; some streets were deserted because of the early hour, while others were bustling with activity.

Al pasar por diversos sectores, el paisaje es distinto. He tomado fotos desde un autobús en marcha por la mañana y mis imágenes monocromáticas acentúan los grises y las tardes aclaran todo el panorama. Fueron días diferentes que pasé por estos lugares, algunas calles solitarias por lo temprano del día y otros lugares que no cesan de tener actividad.

As we know, our city is constantly developing, with modern buildings rising, but also neighborhoods that need attention and are forgotten. These are social challenges that must be addressed. In this collage of street images from various places, I share these urban contrasts; in a metropolis that always vibrates with each sunrise. With these images, I participate in the #monomad challenge.

Como sabemos, nuestra ciudad está en constante desarrollo, donde se levantan modernos edificios, pero también están los barrios que requieren atención y están en el olvido. Son los retos sociales que deben ser atendidos. En este collage de imágenes callejeras de diversos lugares, les dejo los contrastes urbanos; en una metrópoli, que siempre que siempre vibra en cada amanecer. Con ellas participo en el reto de #monomad.
