Warrior Faces

The author of this mural is Jean Betancourt, known as Mr. Garek, a young Caracas-born illustrator, muralist, and designer. He is known for painting women's faces. He moved to Bogotá a long time ago, seeking new horizons. Since then, he has traveled to several countries, participating in events and new projects that have given him the opportunity to fully appreciate his artistic talent.

El autor de este mural, es Jean Betancourt, conocido como Mr. Garek, un joven caraqueño, ilustrador y muralista y diseñador; quien se destaca por pintar rostros de mujer, desde hace mucho tiempo se fue a Bogotá, buscando nuevos horizontes, desde entonces, ha estado en varios países participando en eventos y nuevos proyectos que le han dado la oportunidad de valorar su talento artístico.

His artistic expression as an illustrator and muralist can be found in several countries, including France, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, and Italy, among others. In some countries, his presence is due to the exhibition of his works, while in others, he has countless projects transforming every wall into a vibrant work of art, reclaiming spaces.

Sus manifestaciones artísticas como ilustrador y muralista están plasmadas en varios países, como: Francia, México, Colombia, Venezuela e Italia, entre otros. En algunos su presencia se debe a exponer sus obras y en otros son innumerables los proyectos para transformar cada muro en una obra vibrante, para recuperar espacios.

This colorful journey highlights the living memory of countries through their histories, expressing emotions and enlivening the identity of citizens along with their cultural diversity. Through its reflection, it seeks to protect the environment, rescue values, and honor women in all their roles in society. These projects are often carried out in collaboration with other artists, who work collectively, using their images to represent highly significant events.

En este viaje colorido, destaca la memoria viva de los países a través de sus historias, donde se expresan emociones y avivan la identidad de los ciudadanos junto con su diversidad cultural. Con su reflexión busca proteger el medio ambiente, rescatar los valores y honrar a la mujer en todos sus roles en la sociedad. A menudo estos proyectos se realizan con la colaboración de otros artistas, que trabajan en colectivo, utilizando sus imágenes para representar eventos muy significativos.

Thus, the great works of many artists dedicated to street art can be found in every corner of a city or country, displayed outdoors, under the gaze of many passersby. Our city is a gateway to urban art; there is no part of the country without canvases on its walls, where muralists are instrumental in transforming walls and telling stories of everyday life. The mural is located in Los Dos Caminos, Caracas, behind the El Milenio Shopping Center. We find their most relevant and interesting works on their social media, such as Instagram.

De manera que las grandes obras de muchos artistas que se dedican Street Art, las encontramos en cada rincón de una ciudad o un país, expuestos al aire libre, bajo la mirada de muchos transeúntes. Nuestra ciudad es una entrada al arte urbano, no hay un sector del país que no tenga lienzos en sus paredes, donde el artista muralista es fundamental para transformar las paredes y narrar historias de la vivencia cotidiana.
