Getting to Know Some Birds

Warm greetings, Actifit friends. I've been coming to the park often because I'm participating in an activity. Today is a splendid day. Even though it rained a lot last night, the weather is inviting, as long as I'm waiting for someone to come outside. I arrive early so I can take my photos. Once I'm busy with the activity, I don't have time to do so. The sun was a bit strong, but that didn't stop me from taking a walk beyond the park. So I started walking, wanting to see the birds.

Conociendo Algunas Aves

Un cordial saludos amigos de Actifit, he venido seguido al parque porque estoy en una actividad, hoy es un espléndido día. A pesar de que llovió mucho anoche, el clima invita a disfrutar al aire libre, siempre que espero a alguien. Llego temprano para poder hacer mis tomas fotográficas. Luego de que me ocupo en la actividad ya no tengo tiempo de hacerlo. El sol estaba un poco fuerte, pero esto no impidió que hiciera mi paseo más allá del parque. Así comencé a caminar, quería ver las aves.

Although they're remodeling some of the enclosures that house some species, I was able to find the bird section. Along the way, I found myself very close to these ducks, resting after a swim. I got very distracted, which is how I found the macaws. They're very colorful and make a lot of noise.

Aunque están remodelando algunos recintos donde abrigan algunas especies, pude encontrar la sección de las aves. Por el camino me encontré muy cerca de estos patos, descansando después de un chapuzón. Me distraje mucho, así llegué a las guacamayas. Son muy vistosas por sus colores, y hacen mucho estruendo.

In the distance, I could see some birds in the lagoon, curious because many creatures of various species coexist. There are vultures, ducks, turtles, and iguanas that I couldn't capture in the images. The scene is very charming, with everyone enjoying the safe environment.

A la distancia pude ver algunas aves en la laguna, curioso porque conviven muchas criaturas de varias especies. Hay zamuros, patos, tortugas e iguanas que no las pude captar en las imágenes. La escena es muy encantadora, todos disfrutando del medio ambiente muy seguro.

As I continued along the trail, I stopped by the toucans. I love their bright colors and their long, strong beaks. There are different species. And we came across the King Vulture, a carrion-eating bird. We can learn about its characteristics on the information boards. As you can see, the sun was stronger, so I needed to cover up.

Cuando seguí recorrido, me paré donde estaban los tucanes. Me encantan sus colores llamativos y ese pico tan largo y fuerte. Hay diferentes especies. Y nos encontramos con el Rey Zamuro, un ave que se alimenta de carroña. Podemos informarnos de sus características, en los tableros de información. Como se puede notar, el sol estaba más fuerte, necesitaba cubrirme.

The diversity of birds in this park is remarkable. Time passed quickly; my activity proved to be a beneficial physical exercise for connecting with the natural world and learning more about its fauna. This moment made me reflect on the importance of preserving these spaces for future generations. I was so immersed, watching and reading each description of the birds, that I almost forgot they were waiting for me. The immense sunshine of that day was already palpable on my face; these moments of enjoying the outdoors and birdwatching were gratifying.

La diversidad de aves en este parque es notable. El tiempo transcurrió rápido, mi actividad resultó un ejercicio físico favorable para conectarme con el mundo natural y saber más de su fauna. Este momento me hace reflexionar sobre la importancia de preservar estos espacios para las generaciones que vienen atrás. Me encontraba tan sumergida, viendo y leyendo cada descripción de las aves, que casi me olvidó que me estaban esperando. Ya en mi rostro se estaba sintiendo el solazo inmenso que estaba haciendo este día, estos instantes de disfrutar al aire libre y observar las aves fueron gratificantes.
