Sharing With Neighbors

Our country only has two seasons, drought and rain, and it is in this month of April when the transition from drought to rain is made, so after going through a strong drought and extreme sunshine, nature benefits us with rain. All these days dawns very cloudy, with an overcast sky, then the weather improves and the sun appears until around noon, but then the weather turns gray and begins to rain all afternoon and part of the night.

Compartiendo Con Vecinos

Nuestro país solo tiene dos temporadas, sequía y lluvia, y es en este mes de abril cuando se hace esa transición de la sequía a la lluvia, por lo que después de pasar por una sequía fuerte y un sol extremo, la naturaleza nos beneficia con la lluvia. Todos estos días amanece muy nublado, con un cielo encapotado, luego el clima mejora y se asoma el sol hasta cerca del mediodía, pero después el clima se torna gris y comienza la lluvia pertinaz toda la tarde y parte de la noche.

This is a bit unpleasant because we always have to go out to the street to carry out activities. This week, for example, I had to run some errands and I got wet several times. Although I like to get wet, I don't abuse it, for fear of catching a cold. Today, Sunday was my day to go to the park, but since it was so humid, I decided to get up, do some chores at home and bring some of my lunch forward, and then go for a walk around the area. First, like every Sunday, I go to church.

Esto desagrada un poco porque, siempre tenemos que salir a la calle a realizar actividades. En esta semana, por ejemplo, me tocó hacer algunas diligencias y me mojé en varias oportunidades. Aunque me gusta mojarme, no abuso, por temor de pescar algún resfriado. Hoy domingo era mi día de ir al parque, pero como había tanta humedad, decidí al levantarme, hacer algunos oficios en casa y adelantar algo del almuerzo, para luego irme a caminar un rato por los alrededores. Primero, como todos los domingos, voy a la iglesia.

After I leave mass, I spend some time with friends and neighbors in the community. Then a group of us decide to walk for a while and, as we do so, we chat. Most of us are older people, and some of them feel happy when we manage to get together and have the opportunity to take these walks, because they feel motivated. I sometimes wander off to take my pictures.

Luego de que salgo de la misa, comparto un rato con amigas y vecinos de la comunidad. Luego un grupo decide caminar un rato y, mientras lo hacemos, vamos charlando. La mayoría somos personas adultas mayores, y algunas de ellas se sienten alegres, cuando logramos reunirnos y tenemos la oportunidad de hacer estas caminatas, ya que se sienten motivadas. Yo algunas veces me disperso para poder tomar mis fotos.

Although the day was quite humid, it did not rain today, and the afternoon turned very cool.

Aunque el día estaba bastante húmedo, hoy no llovió, y la tarde se tornó muy fresca.
