Teatera - Premiere at Festspielhaus Hellerau in Dresden

DSC_1432.jpg

I had the profound honor of witnessing and capturing the hauntingly powerful first glimpse of a work-in-progress at the Festspielhaus in Hellerau in Dresden — a piece that left me breathless, stirred, and deeply moved. My heartfelt thanks to the visionary @teatera_ team for trusting me with such an intimate preview and asking me to take their photos.

What I saw was not just performance — it was a visceral act of remembering, a lament woven through movement and sound, reminding us of the silent suffering inflicted not only upon human lives, but upon the earth itself.

This piece reaches far beyond the confines of borders or the immediate horrors of conflict. It speaks to the deeper, insidious cost of unchecked power and systemic corruption — to the way war does not merely destroy bodies, but scars landscapes, poisons rivers, and silences the songs of entire ecosystems.

We are living through a gathering storm — a time when accelerating technological forces, the depletion of natural resources, and the chaos of climate instability collide in ways we are only beginning to comprehend. All of it fueled by structures that value profit over people, division over dialogue, and control over care.
In such a world — increasingly mediated by algorithms that amplify outrage and erode our capacity for nuance — art like this becomes a vital lifeline. A place where truth, vulnerability, and shared humanity can still breathe.

This piece reminded me:
That the harm done to any part of the web reverberates through the whole.
That nature knows no nations.
That to feel deeply is not weakness, but resistance.
To the entire team: thank you. For your courage. For your unflinching honesty. For your artistry. I can’t wait to witness how this work continues to unfold and heal — for all of us.

I’m Stef aka LalalopoBerlin Photography - a photographer with a love for capturing moments that feel alive — whether it’s the quiet tension of a backstage breath or the sweeping light of a landscape just before dusk. For nearly six years, I worked with the trusty Nikon D750, learning its quirks, chasing light, and growing my craft frame by frame.
But in recent years, I made the shift to the Nikon Z6II — and it’s completely reinvigorated the way I shoot. The mirrorless Z series from Nikon has given me more freedom, clarity, and creative control than ever before. It’s lightweight yet powerful, fast yet subtle — and it’s become an extension of how I see the world.
I’m drawn to authenticity in my work — to fleeting expressions, texture, movement, and mood. The Z6II helps me move intuitively and capture what matters in the moment, whether I’m working on tour, in a studio, or out in the wild.

Awesome photos! Was there with you and didn't realize what powerful photos you were capturing during the show. They do the depth of the performance justice
