ENGLISH

Valencia is a city in Venezuela that like many of the country, during the Spanish colonization, was founded in the mid-sixteenth century, being the Casco Central the "civilized" area, but it was not until the late 50's of the 20th century that much of the periphery was urbanized.

However, in 1853 San Blas was founded in the north-east. It is a picturesque parish where numerous missionaries, builders, priests, and especially immigrants, settled and made life until they adopted the Venezuelan culture, which is essentially characterized by diversity.

Diversity. This word is key to describing San Blas, especially the facades of its houses. There is a diversity of structures, designs, and dates (approximate) everywhere.

Just walking around and observing is enough to realize the tourist potential that exists, but it is wasted by not executing an urban plan to maintain many of the old houses to convert them into inns or recreational spaces, something that is being done little by little in the center.

The gates of San Blas could be the entrance to a different city.

I love these photos. It's a shame that those places look like this, but from photographic point of view it's a treasure.

Thank you! The colors of the gates are beautiful despite they are too old.
