Something I love about photographing daily life, with no other purpose than to document, is capturing moments that bring together people who likely have nothing in common and don’t even know each other.

Street photography is the perfect excuse to compose these everyday scenes.

My intention and ambition is to use aesthetics as a tool to bring beauty to routine, even when it’s steeped in decay.

It’s not morbid curiosity that drives me—quite the opposite. I believe it’s important to be the memory of an unequal and unjust world.

Especially now, in this era of immediacy, when everything goes unnoticed at unimaginable speeds. Even this post might get a few likes and that’s it; by the next day, I’ll need to post something new.

This rhythm we’re caught in, whether we like it or not, leads us to get used to things and, at the same time, forget about what is sometimes morally wrong.

What I see in these photos, and when I wander through the city, is wear and tear—and I refuse to normalize it.

Algo que me gusta de fotografiar el día a día, sin propósito alguno más allá de registrar, es capturar momentos que reúnan a personas que posiblemente no tengan nada en común y que, además, no se conocen.

La fotografía callejera es la excusa perfecta para componer estas escenas cotidianas.

Mi intención y pretensión es partir desde la estética como instrumento para darle belleza a la rutina, incluso cuando esta se encuentra hundida en decadencia.

No me impulsa el morbo, sino todo lo contrario: considero importante ser la memoria de un mundo desigual e injusto.

Especialmente ahora, en esta sociedad de la inmediatez, cuando todo pasa desapercibido a velocidades impensables. Incluso esta publicación, quizás, obtenga unos cuantos votos y luego quede en el olvido; al día siguiente habrá que publicar algo nuevo.

Este ritmo en el que estamos inmersos, queramos o no, nos lleva a acostumbrarnos y, al mismo tiempo, a olvidarnos de lo que, desde un punto de vista moral, a veces está mal.

Lo que veo en estas fotos, y cuando recorro la ciudad, es desgaste, y me niego a normalizarlo.
