Photographing for the first time-Monomad challenge (ENG-ESP)

As I've mentioned in other posts, I had the opportunity to attend a Venezuelan religious festival of global significance. It's Corpus Christi, popularly known as the Dancing Devils.

It was my first time attending, and the feeling of photographing something you've seen, heard, or read about contrasts sharply with any preconceived notions I might have had. From the initial expectation to my prejudices as an agnostic.

Being there, I understood why this ceremony was recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2012.

Como ya he comentado en otras publicaciones, tuve la oportunidad de ir a una festividad religiosa venezolana de carácter mundial. Se trata del Corpus Christi, o conocido popularmente como Diablos Danzantes.

Era la primera vez que fui, y la sensación de fotografiar algo que has visto, escuchado o leído contrasta con las ideas preconcebidas que podía tener. Desde la expectativa hasta los prejuicios al ser agnóstico.

Al estar allí, entendí por qué esta ceremonia fue reconocida por la UNESCO como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad en 2012.

Faith is tangible because it originates there. That is, humans invent it and generate ideas that influence and move large social groups.

I already knew this, but being there and witnessing it firsthand, it's completely different.

I value it from an anthropological perspective, because it helps us understand why we are a certain way, which is crucial for comprehending existence.

La fe es material porque allí surge. Es decir, los humanos la inventan y generan ideas que influyen y mueven a grandes grupos sociales. Esto ya lo sabía, pero al estar allí y verlo, es totalmente diferente.

Le doy su valor desde el punto de vista antropológico, porque nos ayuda a entender por qué se es de una forma determinada, lo cual es crucial para comprender la existencia.

This applies to any moment experienced for the first time.

Of course, each one is unique, but I'm referring to attending an event of this type.

If I ever go back, I'll see different situations, but definitely, when you're new to it, the sensation (photographically speaking) is unique.

Esto aplica para cualquier momento que se vive por primera vez.Claro, cada uno es único, pero me refiero a cuando asistes a un evento de este tipo. Si llego a volver, veré situaciones diferentes, pero definitivamente, cuando no lo conoces, la sensación (fotográficamente hablando) es única.
