Does my photography lack purpose? (ENG-ES)-Monomad challenge

I spent this week feeling unwell, so my photographic activity was practically nil until yesterday, when I went out to take photos because I couldn't stand being cooped up any longer. And I confess that I still have remnants of the flu, but nothing my body couldn't handle.

I went out with a friend who was supposed to either take photos too or watch my back, but he did neither.

Pasé esta semana con malestar, así que mi actividad fotográfica fue prácticamente nula hasta ayer, que salí a tomar fotos porque ya no aguantaba el encierro. Y confieso que aún quedan retazos de la gripe, pero nada que mi cuerpo no pudiera soportar.

Salí junto a un amigo, que se suponía que también iba a tomar fotos o a cubrirme las espaldas, pero no hizo ninguna de las dos.

We walked through part of the downtown area, which I'm honestly already bored with. That's why we went to other areas, but this time I'm only sharing the photos we took downtown.

Photographing the same place over and over again is not only repetitive and tedious, but it also burns you out creatively.

Obviously, sometimes the moment influences things more than the place, or the place more than the moment, or both converge; but there are also situations where neither is conducive to photographic recording, and the best thing is not to force it.

Caminamos parte del centro, que la verdad ya me tiene aburrido. Por eso fuimos a otras zonas, pero en esta ocasión solo comparto las fotos que tomamos en el centro.

Fotografiar un mismo lugar una y otra vez no solo resulta repetitivo y tedioso, sino que te agota creativamente.

Evidentemente, a veces influye más el momento que el lugar, o el lugar más que el momento, o ambos convergen; pero también hay situaciones en las que ninguno es funcional para el registro fotográfico, y lo mejor es no forzarlo.

I usually go there because it's my comfort zone, and therefore the ideal thing is to get out of there: explore new places even if they are a bit far.

I've had this dissatisfaction for some time now, just like the one with photographing everyday life.

It's necessary to plan a photographic project of an investigative nature (essay or portfolio).

This post needs to be a reminder of that.

Suelo ir porque es mi zona de confort, y por lo tanto lo ideal es salir de allí: explorar nuevos lugares aunque estén un poco lejos.

Esta inconformidad la tengo desde hace tiempo, al igual que la de fotografiar el día a día.

Es necesario plantearme un proyecto fotográfico de carácter investigativo (ensayo o portafolio).

Esta publicación tiene que ser un recordatorio de eso.
