Caracas is the capital of Venezuela, the country where I live. I have visited this city all my life for family reasons, but in my last stays, now I observe it through photography, and the architecture does not go unnoticed.

Its buildings are part of what this South American nation once was: one of the most prosperous in the continent, and now going through an unprecedented crisis.

The buildings photographed for this publication correspond to different dates, but the common point is the vanguard from the aesthetic and economic point of view that Venezuela reflected in its cities.

The use of black and white is not linked to reflect any melancholy or give a narrative tone from the sadness, but from the elegance, the main characteristic of these architectural works, in my opinion as a simple passerby.

Sus edificios son parte de lo que fue una vez esta nación sudamericana: una de las más prósperas del continent, y que ahora atraviesa una crisis económica sin precedentes.

Las edificaciones de esta publicación corresponden a fechas distintas, pero el punto en común es la vanguardia desde el punto estético y económico que reflejaba Venezuela en sus ciudades.

El uso del blanco y negro no está vinculado con reflejar melancolía alguna, o dar un tono narrativo desde la tristeza, sino desde la elegancia, caracterìstica principal de estas obras arquitectónicas, a mi parecer como simple transeúnte.
