Día inolvidable en la playa de Varadero (Esp/Eng)
Hola amigos y amigas de Hive. Siempre es un placer pasar a saludarlos. En un post anterior les hablaba de la piscina del hotel Meliá Internacional Varadero, pero hoy quiero hablarles de lo bien que lo pasé con mi esposo en la playa de ese mismo hotel.
Hello, friends of Hive. It’s always a pleasure to pop in and say hello. In a previous post, I told you about the swimming pool at the Meliá Internacional Varadero hotel, but today I want to tell you about the wonderful time I had with my husband on the beach at that very same hotel.
El hotel Meliá Internacional Varadero está ubicado en la mejor línea de playa de la zona. Además, Varadero es considerada de las playas más lindas de Cuba y del mundo. Quién la haya visitado sabe que es verdad.
The Meliá Internacional Varadero hotel is situated on the best stretch of beach in the area. What’s more, Varadero is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Cuba and the world. Anyone who’s visited it knows that’s true.
En esta playa la arena es blanca y fina y da gusto caminar descalzo por la orilla del mar. Mi esposo me sorprendió dibujando nuestras iniciales encerradas en un corazón en la arena. Me pareció muy romántico y un gesto que no olvidaré aún cuando las olas del mar lo hayan borrado.
On this beach, the sand is white and fine, and it’s lovely to walk barefoot along the shore. My husband surprised me by drawing our initials enclosed in a heart in the sand. I thought it was very romantic – a gesture I won’t forget, even once the waves have washed it away.
Justo a la orilla de la playa, adentrándose en las aguas, habían unas camas techadas donde uno podía acostarse cómodamente. Nunca había visto algo así en la playa, me llamó mucho la atención y me pareció algo muy novedoso.
Right on the beachfront, extending out into the water, there were some covered sunbeds where you could lie down comfortably. I’d never seen anything like it on a beach before; it really caught my eye and struck me as something quite novel.
A lo largo de toda la playa habían numerosas tumbonas y camas balinesas para que los bañistas las usarán. Mi esposo y yo estuvimos usando una cama balinesas pues nos resultaron más cómodas. Ese día me dediqué a recoger conchas marinas y las guardé para llevármelas de recuerdo. Fue una experiencia hermosa y relajante junto al mar. Un abrazo a todos. Hasta la próxima.
All along the beach there were numerous sun loungers and Balinese beds for sunbathers to use. My husband and I used a Balinese bed as we found them more comfortable. That day I spent my time collecting seashells and kept them as a souvenir. It was a lovely, relaxing experience by the sea. Best wishes to you all. Until next time.
