THE LAST COLORS OF THE DAY

Some time ago, I shared photos from the beautiful fishing village in SETE. I haven't prepared any more images from that place for today, although there are still plenty waiting for their turn. Instead, I'd like to show you a few photographs that I took after visiting the village.

I was slowly making my way back to the truck. The day was coming to an end and I was convinced that all the photographic highlights were already behind me. Sometimes, however, the best shots appear when we stop looking for them.

The sky was beginning to take on increasingly intense colors. Minute by minute, it became more and more orange, creating a truly spectacular display. I had to stop. There was no way I could simply walk past it.

First, I took a few photos of the reeds growing along the shoreline. I think their silhouettes standing out against the glowing sky look quite beautiful. What I liked most was the contrast between the dark shapes of the plants and the warm colors of the sunset. Sometimes all it takes is a simple subject and the right light to create an eye-catching photograph.

For a good several minutes, I watched as the day slowly gave way to the night. The masts of the yachts turned into dark silhouettes, while the reeds swaying in the wind created natural decorations against the glowing sky.

I couldn't stop admiring those colors. It is not often that you get to witness such a spectacular display in the sky. Truly intense shades of orange like these are quite rare.

What you see in my photos is not the result of heavy post-processing. The sky really looked like that. During editing, I only lifted some of the shadows and added a bit of contrast, but I did not alter the colors themselves.

I am very glad that I had the opportunity to witness such a spectacular sunset. It is certainly one of those moments that will stay in my memory for a long time.
