SWISS SUMMER VIEWS

Today I want to take you to the heart of Europe — to Switzerland. These photos were taken during a short break on my way to a delivery in Romont. I passed this place for the first time at the beginning of spring last year, when the lake had an incredible turquoise color and the mountain slopes were still covered with snow. The view was absolutely stunning, but unfortunately I was already late for unloading, so I couldn’t stop to take any pictures. After the delivery I was driving in the completely opposite direction, so there was no second chance.

In the summer I finally managed to return. The snow was gone of course, but I still think this place looks beautiful — both in photos and even more in real life.

LAC DE LA GRUYÈRE is the largest artificial lake in the canton of Fribourg. It was created after the construction of the Rossens Dam in the mid-20th century. Today it is not only an important water reservoir, but also a peaceful destination for nature lovers, hikers, photographers and travelers. Surrounded by green hills and the distant Swiss Alps it truly feels like a postcard landscape.

I’m very happy I could finally stop and capture these summer views. Thank you for joining me on this quiet Swiss road moment.
