SPRING MEMORIES

Spring is now in full swing and our fields are gradually taking on new colours. Most of the rapeseed has already finished blooming, but the countryside is slowly turning red and blue.
I haven't come across a true sea of poppies or cornflowers yet this year. I managed to photograph a few poppies a couple of days ago, but I still haven't found any cornflowers — or at least not in a place and at a time when I could stop and take a few photographs. That is why today I am sharing memories from last spring, when I had the opportunity to capture a field where beautiful CORNFLOWERS were in bloom.
Did you know that CORNFLOWERS were once considered one of the most characteristic wildflowers of European grain fields? Their intense blue colour made them easy to spot among crops and they have long been a symbol of the rural landscape in many countries.
I hope you enjoy these little memories from last spring. 😊
