SILENT WORLD FILLED WITH LOVE
I recently became the owner of a new phone, so it was finally time to test its camera. As it happened yesterday I was at my nephew’s birthday party and they have a cat at home. I decided it would be the perfect opportunity to take a few photos. So, the star of today’s post is NORKA and her story.
Less than a year ago my nineteen-year-old nephew found a small, lost and undernourished kitten. I’m glad to have such a kind-hearted nephew. He took the kitten home, gave her food and water and cared for her. Norka stole the hearts of the whole family from the very first day. She was quickly accepted and it did not take long before the decision was made that she would stay with them permanently.
At first Norka was very frightened. She also displayed some unusual behaviors that were most likely caused by severe stress. However, she soon settled into her new home and those nervous habits gradually disappeared until they were completely gone.
Not long afterwards it turned out that Norka was deaf. Unfortunately, there is no way to cure her condition. The world as Norka experiences it is completely silent. She grew up in my sister’s home surrounded above all by love, care and affection.
At first, because she was deaf and never made any sounds, we thought she might not only be deaf but also mute. However, only quite recently she began producing her very first meows!
Now she is a friendly, happy cat who enjoys life!
I’m very happy that she was found in time and given a chance for a better life!
