DANCING POPPIES IN THE SUMMER BREEZE

And finally they are here! Red poppies! I haven't come across a whole field of poppies yet, only a slightly larger patch of them, but they are still a feast for the eyes! I first spotted them through the truck window on my way to a delivery in Slovakia and I immediately knew that on my way back I would have to stop, even if only for a moment, to take a few photos.
What I decided, I did. Unfortunately, I didn't have much time — only 15 minutes — but sometimes even that is enough to bring back a little souvenir. To make things more difficult, it was quite windy that day and photographing these dancing poppies turned out to be extremely challenging. I know it could have been done better, but in the end I am still happy with the results I managed to achieve in such a short amount of time. There will still be plenty of time to learn. 😊
A little educational fact: Each poppy flower blooms for only a few days. Fortunately, a single plant can produce several flowers one after another, which is why poppy displays can remain beautiful for much longer than an individual bloom.
