A MOMENT HIDDEN IN PURPLE

As you probably already know from my previous posts, last year I visited the Botanical Garden in Heidelberg. Places like this are definitely spaces where a person naturally slows down a bit, looks more carefully, and starts noticing details.
While walking around and looking for beautiful plants, I came across this flower. At first glance it seems delicate, light, and perhaps even a bit chaotic in its form. This flower does not have a classic, compact structure, as is usually the case with many other flowers. Instead, its long, thin stamens and the characteristic arrangement of its petals make it resemble spreading spider legs, which is where the name SPIDER FLOWER comes from.
Its Latin name is CLEOME HASSLERIANA. The lifespan of a single flower is relatively short, but the plant itself blooms for a long time and constantly produces new buds. The flowers develop gradually from the bottom upwards, creating a distinctive, elongated inflorescence. After blooming, long, thin seed pods appear, which further enhance its spider-like appearance.
As for its color, it can range from light pink to intense purple. SPIDER FLOWER originates from South America and is mainly cultivated as an ornamental plant in gardens. That is why it is also a frequent guest in botanical gardens.

I was wondering where did you find those lovely flowers, then I saw it was in the botanical garden. Purple is not my favorite color, but these are real beauties.
The most beautiful flowers can be seen in botanical gardens, which is why I enjoy visiting them so much. However, it is limited in time, because in winter it is no longer as colorful there.😃
