Sublime Sunday Snow in Vermont

Happy Sublime Sunday! Here's a few shots from our snowy Sunday in Vermont. Just a few inches of snow, but one of those nice ones where it sticks to the trees and presents a wonderful view.
Love the look of the Apple trees above with the snow sticking on them.

And then let's of course not forget Betty in her favorite time of year and favorite snow dog pics!

It's just getting started up here, the snow will keep building until it's waist deep in the field here. Still looking forward to snowshoeing this year, and then trading them in for snorkel and fins later this year when we move South to Florida!

An actual move to Florida, or a holiday?

We're going to move. As much as I hate to leave this dream home, we've come to the point where it's time. I wish we could take it with us, as we'll likely only be able to get a quarter to half acre of land for similar house down there. We're currently focused on Ormond Beach, Palm Coast, Flagler area, but open to suggestions if others down there! Wanting to be within 20-30 min of the beach.

We have about the same here in NY. MOVING! North to South is a big change. ; -)

Lol, yes big change is right. Giving up the snow for the sand and beach! Will certainly miss the nice summers and fall up here though. We'll likely flip the tables to live down there and visit up here. Becoming one of the traveling leaf peepers instead of residents.. We don't really get out in the snow much for fun anymore, so it's just maintenance for us now. This is great spot for someone looking... within 20-30 minutes of two nice ski resorts and lots of places to snowboard, ski, and snowmobile, ATV trails.

That does indeed look like a Sublime Sunday! A fresh blanket of snow always looks so magical!

A little chilly last few days with highs around 10F and lows hovering at 0F. Warming up 10-20 degrees next week though so will be more likely to get out then.

Move to Florida for ever or just for the season? The snow looks amazing. I remember going pheasant hunting in the winter one year, the snow was only about knee deep, but my legs were so sore the next day from all the walking.

Moving for good. If you really liked your visit here, I've got the place for you! Yes, the deep snow is great exercise. Knee deep is where snowshoes come in handy and pretty much a must have when it gets deeper!

:) I really enjoyed it there. I hadn't been since I was a kid. My wife liked it, but she said she would rather visit other areas again before we went back to Vermont. I think she really wants to do the coast, so I see Maine in our future.

The photos are wonderful. They perfectly convey the atmosphere of winter and seeming silence.

Tks, I've been wanting to catch some birds at the feeder, but we put the screens on the windows to prep for house sale, so not as easy to snap them out the window and just too cold to be outside very long.
