SMAP 106 Dee Dee Dee Bird pics
Here are some pics of my friendly black-capped chickadees. These are our most frequent visitors, and not as easily spooked as many of the others. Shot these from our kitchen window. Still a little chilly to have the window open, but it was worth the jacket for an hour or so to get these snaps.
There were a few in this set that I really liked, but let's try this slightly cropped one for the #smap contest. Open them large screen for best viewing!
Here's the uncropped version.
This was my other favorite.
A little crop on the previous pic.
I had a couple other visitors this weekend who are generally more elusive. I was very pleased to finally get them on camera as well, but I'll save those for my next post.

Wow! Lovely chickadee portraits. They are such friendly little birds. Fast moving, too. 🐦
Yes, they certainly are quick in and out on the feeders, like it's a drive through!
Yay! 🤗

Looking similar like a sparrow.....by the way amazing and wonderful capture 🫡❤️✨
Yes, they are similar, a little smaller, and faster in flight, and thank you!
Aww, how cute this little bird is. 🙂
Awesome shots, especially with the seeds in the bill.
So glad you join us again.
Thank you the @featheredfriends is one of my favorites to lurk about in, but been awhile since I had a chance to post there!
You are always welcome, whenever you have time 🙂
You can get these guys to eat seed from your hand, with Patience. Nice shots 🐦
I've seen lots of pics like that, but not sure I've got the patience for it yet. I'll enjoy from the warm kitchen!
WE have a federal park where the birds are conditioned to eat from the hand.

I love their hoarse calls! Dee-dee-dee!😊We have close relatives of these birds - the willow tit. It looks the same, but the underparts are gray and slightly brown in winter. The voices are the same.
Yes, it's a nice clearly identifiable song for sure. I also enjoy hearing them calling.
These are cute!! They kind of remind me of the time my friend was having a jam session and I got drunk and hungry and she caught me stuffing my face with deli meat in front of the open fridge.
Ha, going to be hard to shake that picture now.. lol
