Thank you. I appreciate the good intentions, but not wanting to let go or change the format of this group just yet. After several years running this every single weekend, I just needed a short break and time to stay focused on work and personal life a bit.
The contest will be back soon, I see folks still posting and thank you for respecting the group and the standards.
You and others are certainly welcome to post, I just don't want the format of this particular group changed beyond the current scope of drones, fpv, rc vehicles, etc.
It's purpose was and still is to have a place dedicated to drones and directly related aerial photos, and RC hobbies.
I'm sure I'll be stopping in to visit your Around the World comps soon as well. Now that summer surfing season is at an end here, I'll be getting out for more photos when work slows a bit.
Once again, I apologize.
It's my fault for not realizing that I've been discussing the "competition" on Discord with someone other than the community owner all week.
And by the way. I got a new drone. I'll write something about it soon :-)
Thanks for understanding. Would love to hear about the new drone and see some pics! I look forward to more discussion about the community and managing overall since you seem to have more experience than me! Just not this week, lol. I'm still way overbogged at work and will another week or so for things to settle.
I'll give you a shout when I'm fully back to some reasonable free time if that's ok.

I don't know if I have more experience than you, but I do have some experience with photo contests.
I always say that real life takes precedence over "virtual". When your real situation settles down, then there will be room to consider what to do next with the Hive activity. If you are still interested in some cooperation, feel free to let me know either in a comment or on Discord.
