they hold the weight of mornings,
the hush of hunger,
the quiet resilience of tomorrow.

Behind her, another shadow waits,
a sibling trailing dreams too small
to name,
yet too heavy to leave behind.

She is both child and mother,
playmate and protector,
a tender pillar
in a world that asks for more
than her years should know.

And still—
her steps do not falter.
