Nature in the city - FPC photo contest entry

At first I hesitated a bit to post these photos for contest, as park in the city, seemed to be too easy target for a topic. Finally I've decided to do so, here's why. The tree in the picture has fallen down during one of the storms. Normally in such situations, the area is cleaned, the trees are chopped and removed. In that particular case however, the city council decided to leave everything to nature itself. Great idea, the city park gained natural sculpture.

Don't hesitate! It's always your own interpretation of the subject.
I see it over here more often as well that fallen trees are left in the parks.
Nice for kids to climb on and nature will clean it up by itself over time.

I think that at any moment Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will come out from behind that huge tree. The authorities' decision to leave it as part of the landscape makes sense, and it should be a home, a shelter, and a place for other little creatures, including children, to play. Good luck in the contest!!!

Thank you 🙂 Yes I had similar impression, the ivy that started covering it also adds this fairytale atmosphere.
