Celebrating My Mother's 46th Birthday With Family, Relatives And Friends

Hello hivers! How are you all? I hope you are doing great. One of the thing I was excited to go home is to celebrate my mother's birthday. This year she turns 46 and I'm happy to celebrate it with her because last year I was not able to come to her birthday. I was planning to give her lechon but budget is tight so I just bought a goat and we have goat's recipe on her birthday.
These are the foods we have on her birthday.

First is the bihon, it's always on the table in every birthday because we believe that bihon makes long life.

This one is a goat's meat. This recipe is called kaldereta. This is my favorite recipe. It's savory and sweet.

We have the young corn. We cook this so our visitors had little snacks before the lunch time or if lunch time is late then their stomach won't growl.

Then we have the chicken adobo. This is my husband's favorite and it's our request. We killed and cook three chickens just to have this adobo.

Then the grilled fish. This is tulingan, bangus and tilapia. My father and grandfather loves grilled fish so I set an option for this because I knew my grandfather would come.

This is paklay, it's the goat's internal organs and skin mix together. I like this but not too much because this is somewhat had a bitter taste.

This one is a buko juice with meat locally we called it butong. This is always present on any birthday occasion. This must come with gelatin and other fruits and sago but I don't have much time that morning so we serve it just only milk.

This one is Biko. Biko is a sticky rice mixed with the caramelized coconut milk and sugar. Perfect snack for everyone and here my barangay is known for the most delicious Biko in town and even in neighboring municipality.

I bought my mom a cake and cupcakes. I just designed it with flowers because she likes flowers so much and she was happy to see the plastic flowers on the cake. She had a vase collection of plastic flowers and there's something to add to it. The cupcakes are loved by the kids that even before the eating time they already ate some.

Mom recieved so many gifts. A boquet of flowers, paperbags, visitors and family support.

I got a picture with my grandmother. This is the only picture I have in the entire celebration because I'm the photographer. After securing captures I help in distributing the plates and spoons. Ensuring food is always full on the table and at the same time taking care my 2 kids. It was very busy, tiring but fun. I made my mom happy on her birthday and thank God for a successful celebration.
