Visit Wat Sukawat, Chai Prakan District, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand.

Hello everyone. This post, I recommend and take everyone to see temples in Chai Prakan District. This temple is called Wat Sukawat. Before see the beautiful of the temple. I would like to share a brief history of this temple first.
Wat Sukawat or local people call it Wat Mae Khi. This temple is quite old and was allowed to be established as a temple in A.D. 1902, or 121 years ago. Later in the year A.D. 1969 or 54 years ago, The temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree.

On this trip, I went to the temple with my wife by chance. After we had to run errands in Chai Prakan District. On the way we passed this temple. This temple is located at Ban Mae Khi, Sri Dong Yen Subdistrict, Chai Prakan District, Chiang Mai Province.
When we arrived at Wat Sukawat. We will see the name plate of the temple and the large temple arch first. The temple's name plate and large temple arch are along highway 107.

The name plate of the temple is made of bricks plastered with cement. And the left and right sides of the temple name plate are small cement buddha statue pavilions. The large entrance to the temple is made of bricks plastered with cement, painted red and decorated with color gold stucco patterns. On top of the entrance arch are many statues of angels.

When we passed this large entrance arch. We had to travel another 200 meters in an alley before reaching the wall and entrance into the temple.

Area the wall between the left and right entrances were many white angel statues. And on the wall pillar between the left and right entrances are two small pagodas.

This temple has another entrance and on the pillars of the wall between the entrances are color gold statues of angels.

When we walked into the temple. We will immediately see the temple's buddha image hall (viharn). The temple's buddha image hall (viharn) is made of cement-plastered bricks and painted white, decorated with color gold and green stucco patterns. And above the door of the buddha image hall (viharn) there are oil paintings of angels. On the railing of the stairs at the entrance to the buddha image hall (viharn) are two serpent statues.

Inside the temple is under construction. I'm not sure if this architecture is the chapel or what architecture?

Behind the buddha image hall (viharn) is a large pagoda. This pagoda has a polygonal shape and a bell-shaped top. There are several small pagodas surrounding this pagoda. And area front of this pagoda are statues of the 12 thai zodiac.

Beside the pagoda are two small wooden pavilions. The lower pavilions are for sitting and the pavilion above has a statue of an angel.

Inside the temple there is also a large pavilion for religious ceremonies. And inside the large pavilion are many buddha statues.
