Visit Wat Sri Uthumporn, Chai Prakan District, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, A small temple in a rural community in the northern.
Hello everyone. Last week I read information from a community facebook page in the district where I live. It has information about temples in my district and nearby districts. There is one temple that I have never been to in Chai Prakan District, which is a district close to the district where I live. This temple is called Wat Sri Uthumporn. I looked at the distance on google maps from my house to this temple, approximately 24 kilometers. I think the temple is not far away. So a few days ago I took my wife to this temple.
Wat Sri Uthumporn is located in MaeKhi LaiFang Village, Sri Dong Yen Subdistrict, Chai Prakan District, Chiang Mai Province. Our journey to this temple. That day we had to send the children to school first. So we journey on highway 107 to Chai Prakan District. Then we journey on chiang mai rural roads to the temple. Take a look, the atmosphere of traveling on the road to get to this temple first.
The some atmosphere on highway 107 while traveling to this temple. At that time there was fog in the morning on the road.

There is no information on when this temple was built. We only know that it is a new temple that was recently built. When we arrived at this temple. So we know from the local people in that village. But he doesn't know what year the temple was built. And when we arrived at the temple. So we know that Wat Sri Uthumporn is a small temple. This temple does not have much area. And the temple is a temple in a rural community. Outside the temple is a farm owned by local villagers.

The wall of the temple are made of bricks, but not plastered with cement. I think it looks like an ancient wall from the past. And looks like an old wall.
The two wall pillars during entry are painted and decorated with beautiful stucco patterns. And on the wall pillars are statues of lions.
The name sign of this temple is a wooden name sign area the wall.
Inside the temple there is only a buddha image hall (viharn), no ordination hall (ubosot) or pagoda. This buddha image hall (viharn) is made of bricks plastered with cement, decorated with color gold stucco patterns in the Lanna art style.
On the railing at the entrance to the buddha image hall (viharn) are two statues of seven-headed serpent. The two serpent statues are painted brown, not colorful like other temples.
Area front of the buddha image hall (viharn) there are statues of the 12 thai zodiac.
Besides are buildings for monks to practice dhamma, the monk's house and garden in the temple.
After we finished visiting the temple. We stopped at our favorite noodle shop. A simple noodle shop on a country road. But the taste is very delicious. Noodles cost only 25 baht. So it is one of our favorite noodle shops. Even though this noodle shop is far away. But when we had the opportunity to go to Chai Prakan District. We will stop here often to eat noodles.
These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to watch and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
