Visit Wat Phra Phutthabat Udom, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. This post I will take you to see a temple in my country again. This temple is called Wat Phra Phutthabat Udom. This temple is the 103rd temple that I have shared with everyone. Wat Phra Phutthabat Udom is located in Wiang Subdistrict, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province. This temple is an old temple (Renovation) that is important in this district.
Brief information about this temple. Wat Phra Phutthabat Udom was built during the reign of Phra Chao Fang, the ruler of the ancient city in the past (approximately 300 - 400 years ago). The temple used to be an abandoned temple and was first renovated in AD 1877 or 148 years ago. And the temple received a royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in AD 1969 or 56 years ago.
Wat Phra Phutthabat Udom has 2 areas. I will take friends to see the first area. This area is on a low hill. You can drive up this low hill or park in the lot below and walk up the stairs. This first area has a pagoda. This pagoda is a white hexagonal pagoda, There are buddha images on every side of the pagoda. The top of the pagoda is shaped a bell and an tierred umbrella.
On the side of this pagoda there is a small pavilion. In the pavilion are statues of two kings.
And there is a large building. This large building is built in the Tai Yai art style.
This first area also has a buddha image hall, which is a circular building. On top of the buddha image hall is a large gold color statue of a monk.
Inside this buddha image hall are buddha images, monk statues and gongs.
Near the buddha image hall there are three small pavilions. Each pavilion has a buddha image.
In addition there is the section containing the monks' living quarters.
The second area of the temple. This area is not on the hill. This area has two entrances. The first entrance has no arch, There are only 2 singhas statues on pillars at the entrance. The singha statues is made in the Lanna art style (Northern Thai art).
The second entrance has two Naga statues.
And this entrance has a large arch. This arch is decorated with beautiful stucco patterns. Especially the Buddhist stucco patterns.
There is a temple sign at this entrance too.
The atmosphere outside this entrance area.
The second area of the temple is the ordination hall (ubosot). When you walk through the first entrance, you will see this ordination hall (ubosot) in front. This ordination hall (ubosot) was originally brown color, but was later renovated and renovated to be white. Build and decorate the ordination hall (ubosot) in the original northern Thai art style (original Lanna art). Looks beautiful and unique. There is a low wall surrounding the ordination hall (ubosot). In front of the ordination hall (ubosot) are two giant statues and two singha statues.
Behind the ordination hall (ubosot) is another pagoda. This pagoda is an old pagoda (new renovated). From to the information in this pagoda, there are relics of the Buddha. This pagoda is therefore important.
At the second entrance, there is also a small pavilion. Inside this pavilion, there is a statue of monk. And near the pavilion, there are also statues of deer.
Finally another atmosphere in the second area, there are also buildings in the northern Thai art style, a school for monks and the section containing the monks' living quarters. But I didn't take photos of the school for monks and the section containing the monks' living quarters.
These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
