Visit the Northern Petroleum Development Center and small oil wells in various areas in Fang District, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Hello everyone. Fang District, Chiang Mai Province is a district with many natural resources. Especially forest resources. Most of the district is surrounded by mountains. And most occupations are farmers. In addition to Fang District having abundant forest resources, it also has petroleum resources and is the first petroleum source in Thailand.
The first oil well was discovered around the year A.D. 1918 or 105 years ago, It was in the area of ​​Mae Sun Subdistrict. And in year A.D. 1919, it was the beginning of petroleum exploration in Thailand.
Now Fang District has many small oil wells distributed in various areas of the district, There area covers a total of 3 subdistricts namely Mae Kha Subdistrict, Mae Sun Subdistrict, and San Sai Subdistrict. And the largest oil well in this district is in the Northern Petroleum Development Center.

Several days ago, my wife and I had the opportunity to go to the Northern Petroleum Development Center. We planned to go to the Energy Museum in the Northern Petroleum Development Center. Northern Petroleum Development Center is about 18 kilometers from our house. Before reaching the Northern Petroleum Development Center, we will see many large oil well. The area is a large oil well. We cannot enter this area. Only Northern Petroleum Development Center staff can enter. So I photographed these large oil wells from the outside, while wife drives.

When we reached the Northern Petroleum Development Center and entered the Northern Petroleum Development Center. There is only a pond between the Northern Petroleum Development Center and the large oil wells.

Then we walked to the Energy Museum inside the Northern Petroleum Development Center. We had to walk across the bridge to cross the pond first. The atmosphere and sky that day were very good.

The Energy Museum building is a large two-story white building. Unfortunately, museum officials were meeting that day. The museum is closed. So we didn't visit the museum. So we walked around the museum building instead.

The museum building area is a large garden. Inside the garden, there are models of oil wells and equipment related to oil drilling. I think these models are similar in size to the real thing.

After that, my wife and I walked across the bridge again to go to the Northern Petroleum Development Center office building. But we were not allowed to enter the office building. So we walked around the building and took photos of the outside of the office building.

When me and my wife see a model of the oil well and the small drilling machine. So we want to see the real thing again. We had accidentally seen the small oil well and the small drilling machine several years ago. But this time we intended to go see it. So we traveled from Mae Kha Subdistrict to Mae Sun Subdistrict. We had to travel on Highway 107 and onto a rural road in Mae Sun Subdistrict.

We see many small oil wells along rural roads in Mae Sun Subdistrict, It is located in various areas. Some oil wells are located on farms. It has many small oil wells, I think there are more than 30. And these are some of the small oil wells and the small drilling machines in this district.
