Travel to Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai, Part 5 : Sacred places on the mountain and views fram a mountain lookout.

Hello everyone.😊 Welcome to my post again. This post, I take everyone to travel in Mae Ai District. Mae Ai District also has another interesting sacred place on the mountain. And I want to share this place with everyone. Everyone get ready for travel with us. Let's go.
Last week my wife and I traveled to Mae Ai District. We went to many temples and attractions. This post is the 5th attraction for this trip.

Traveling to sacred place.

The sacred place is located on a mountain along rural road 3023, Mae Na Wang Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai. Close to Wat Chai Mongkol that I shared in the previous post. But it is located on the road opposite from the temple. We had to travel on rural road 3023 and the road winds over the plateau to travel up the mountain where the sacred place is located. And these are some of the views of the trip.

Architecture and sculpture on the mountain.

When we reached the sacred place on the mountain. At the top is a pagoda. The pagoda is made of bricks plastered with cement and painted white. This pagoda is square in shape with a gold color bell-shaped top. There are many small gold color pagodas surrounding this main pagoda. And there is a white buddha image in the attitude of subduing mara located on 4 sides of the pagoda too.

Interesting sculptures in this sacred place, There is a gold color buddha image in the attitude of subduing mara. A large white serpent statue. And two serpent statues on the railing of the stairs. Additionally, there are the pavilions for religious ceremonies.

Another interesting thing about this sacred place is the viewpoint. Views fram a mountain lookout, We can see nature, mountains, villages and farms in that area. Unfortunately, that day there was smog and pollution. So we can't see the view clearly. But we think that if there were no smog and pollution. It must have been a beautiful view.

My wife and I intend to visit this sacred place again to see this views fram a mountain lookout without the smog and pollution.
