Tai Yai community temple in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. Mon Pin Subdistrict, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province is a subdistrict with many ethnic groups. Although Mon Pin Subdistrict has many ethnic group, But the majority of people in this subdistrict are buddhists. And the temple is a sacred place for religious ceremonies of the people in the Subdistrict. There are many temples in Mon Pin Subdistrict, but there are only three temples in the Tai Yai art style in the subdistrict. In this post, I will take everyone to see one of three temples in the Tai Yai art style. This temple is called Wat Pothong. On this trip I visited the temple with my wife. Wat Pothong is a temple on a hill in a Tai Yai community. When we arrive at the temple, we can drive up the hill or park in the area below the hill. If you park at the below of the hill, you can walk up the stairs to go up the hill. This staircase is a staircase with a statue of a three-headed Naga. I stopped to take photos at the three-headed Naga stairs with my wife before driving to the temple on the hill.

Inside the temple is a large buddha image hall (viharn) in Tai Yai art style. Looks outstanding and unique. On the side of the buddha image hall (viharn), there is a pagoda. This pagoda was built in the Tai Yai art style.

Most of the temple area is a wide yard with small pavilions in the Tai Yai art style. And section containing the monks' living quarters.

And the temple has many large trees that look shady.

Almost all Tai Yai temples in the district are smaller than Thai temples. So the architecture in the temple is only the buddha image hall (viharn) and the pagoda. But some temples only have a buddha image hall (viharn).
