Story of me and my family part 129 : Visit Wat Sophanaram, Chiang Mai, Thailand, Another beautiful temple in the countryside in my district.

Hello everyone. This post I take everyone to see another temple in my district (Fang District). This temple is called Wat Sophanaram or Wat Huai Ngu Nai. Wat Sophanaram is located in Huai Ngu Nai Village, San Sai Subdistrict, Fang District, Thailand. This temple is a small temple with an area of ​​approximately 14,456 square meters. There is no information about when the Wat Sophanaram was built. But the temple received permission to establish itself as a temple in A.D. 1917 (106 years). Later in A.D. 1978, This temple received royal granting of the land to the particular temple by announcing in royal decree.

The distance from our house to this temple is about 19 kilometers. For our journey, we had to travel on a rural road from our village about 4 kilometers to highway 107. Then journey on highway 107 for approximately 11 kilometers. And we had to journey on rural road again for about 4 kilometers until we reached this temple. This rural road must pass through Huai Ngu Nok Village, Huai Klang Village until Huai Ngu Nai Village. Take a look the some atmosphere of this journey.

When me and my wife arrived at Wat Sophanaram. We see a large temple name plate decorated with beautiful stucco patterns first.

There are many beautiful flowers area the temple name plate. When I don't know the names of these flowers. Although I tried to find the names and information about these flowers from many websites. But I can't find the names and information of these flowers.

There are two entrances to this temple. The first entrance has a wood arch but the door was closed, so we could not enter this entrance. The second entrance has no arch but the door is open. So we entered the temple from this entrance. There are two lion sculptures on the wall between the left and right entrances.

When entering the temple. The first highlight was a large wooden pavilion, which I'm not sure what it was. But this large pavilion, I think, is like an ancient thai house. It looks classic and I like this pavilion.

The second highlight of the temple is the buddha image hall (viharn). The buddha image hall (viharn) of this temple is decorated with beautiful stucco patterns and is different from other temples we have seen in our district and nearby districts. Especially the buddhist stucco pattern in front of the buddha image hall (viharn). And stucco patterns around door with window edges. I am fascinated by this buddha image hall (viharn), Although me and my wife did not see the inside of this buddha image hall (viharn).

The third highlight is a small pavilion with a buddha statue in the pavilion. The buddha statue in this pavilion are beautiful. This buddha statue is called Phra phuth Sri Maha Bodhi.

The fourth highlight is the pagoda. The temple's pagoda has a white square foundation and a large color gold bell-shaped top. In front of the pagoda there is a buddha image.

The fifth highlight is a small pavilion with goddess of mercy (Guan Yin). The color gold goddess of mercy (Guan Yin) on the white lotus foundation looks beautiful.

The sixth highlight is the natural atmosphere inside the temple with many trees and flowers, Besides we see the beautiful architecture and sculptures of the temple and we also enjoyed and relaxed with the trees and flowers inside the temple.
