King Naresuan Stupa, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. This post, I will take everyone to Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province again. This time my wife and I did not visit the temple. But we visited another place that Thai people respect. This place is a stupa for worshiping King Naresuan. An important king in the history of Thailand during the Ayutthaya period. This stupa was completed in 1970 or 55 years ago.
This stupa of King Naresuan is about 60 kilometers from our house. We have to travel from Fang District through Chai Prakan District. When we arrived at Chiang Dao District, we traveled to Muang Ngai Subdistrict. I have the scenery of this journey too.
When we arrived at the stupa of King Naresuan. We will see a stupa on the wide courtyard. This stupa is about 25 meters high and about 10.30 meters wide. The stupa is made of bricks with spread cement on bricks and painted white. The shape of the stupa is an octagonal stupa with bell shaped top. In front of the stupa is a monument to King Naresuan. And the other seven sides of the stupa are stone carving that story of King Naresuan. Around the stupa are many chicken statues. These chicken statues are statues to worship King Naresuan.
In this place, besides the King Naresuan Stupa, there is also a large Thai-style pavilion. This large pavilion is a religious ceremonial hall.
Near the large pavilion is an outdoor buddha image. This buddha image is The buddha image in the attitude of subduing Mara. In front of the buddha image are statues of chickens, horses and elephants.
Finally the area behind is a war camp. This war camp is a replica of an ancient war camp in Thailand. There are also many statues of chickens and elephants in the war camp area. Inside the building of this camp are statues of King Naresuan, King Ekathotsarot and the sister of two kings.
These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
