Bienvenidos a mi blog. Que la paz y el amor sean con ustedes. Regreso a este comunidad en el día de hoy para compartir esta imagen que captó mi atención hace unos días.

Como pueden apreciar, esta figura es inconfundible, no es necesario siquiera decir quien es. Sin embargo, me gusta pronunciar su nombre por todo lo que representa. A este Don Quijote de la Mancha que se encuentra ubicado en el mismo centro del poblado de Bauta, lo había visto muchas veces, pero solo hasta la semana pasada fue que reparé en buscarle algún significado.

Se erige justo en la Avenida principal con su habitual delgadez y con la mirada hacia el futuro, como símbolo de valor y rebeldía, esa que tanta falta hace en estos tiempos que corren. Frente a él, un caballete donde quizás pintaría un mundo mejor, lleno de sueños, de paz y del amor de su adorada Dulcinea del Toboso.

Y ahí está de pie, a pesar de huracanes y malos tiempos, junto a su inseparable lanza y su escudo, listo para enfrentar molinos, aunque no sean de vientos.

Welcome to my blog. May peace and love be with you all. I return to this community today to share this image that caught my attention a few days ago.

As you can see, this figure is unmistakable; there's no need to even say who it is. Nevertheless, I like to say his name for all that he represents. I had seen this Don Quixote de la Mancha, located right in the center of the town of Bauta, many times before, but it was only last week that I stopped to search for its meaning.

It stands right on the main Avenue with its usual thinness and its gaze fixed on the future, as a symbol of courage and rebellion – the kind we need so much in these times we live in. Before it, an easel where it would perhaps paint a better world, full of dreams, peace, and the love of its adored Dulcinea del Toboso.

And there it stands, despite storms and hard times, alongside its inseparable lance and shield, ready to face windmills – or otherwise.
