Window Shopping
I like to browse stores without a specific goal in mind because I’m often inspired by interesting things. However, when I’m feeling depressed, I don’t feel like exploring anything new. That’s why, if I’m interested in window shopping, it means I’m feeling motivated and curious again.
I rarely visit this interesting store, Giant Tiger. Giant Tiger is a Canadian discount store chain with over 260 locations across the country. Its logo is very vivid and catches people’s attention.
In my area, it’s located next to an art store, so it’s fun to browse both stores at the same time.
These are the store’s mascot characters. On the sign, there’s a cartoon tiger. I really like the classic-looking logo.
Oh, this is a donation project that supports kids, helping them learn, grow, and thrive.
I like checking out the men’s T-shirt collection because they always have interesting designs, mostly band tees, cartoon prints, and more. They’re usually very affordable, and it’s fun to see what they have.
This is a Sam Hunt shirt. Interestingly, the tag also says “Sam Hunt.” I like the shade of red against the already worn-looking navy shirt.
Oh, this one looks really cool. It is a Willie Nelson shirt. I love the large printed image on the black fabric. My husband bought it to wear while working in the yard this summer.
Here’s a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers shirt. I used to enjoy watching their music videos. '70s rock music makes me feel calm, even though it’s rock.
This is a Pink Floyd shirt. It features the band’s iconic image, as you probably know. I don’t listen to Pink Floyd much, but I always find their designs interesting.
Here’s an AC⚡DC shirt. I feel like almost everyone has had some kind of AC/DC merch or music at some point. I like the already faded look of the logo.
And now, suddenly, the girls’ collection! This is a Hello Kitty T-shirt. Actually, I’ve never worn a Hello Kitty T-shirt in my life.
This one is a ladies’ Garfield T-shirt. The character kind of looks like Giant Tiger’s mascot! I’ve also never worn a pink T-shirt, but I really like the texture of this soft one.
Love this! It’s a men’s Snoopy T-shirt. I adore the rainbow van behind Snoopy, with Woodstock sitting on it. It’s only $11. I don’t wear printed T-shirts much these days, but I used to wear a lot of second-hand vintage ones.
Here’s another Pink Floyd printed tee. I think the original version of this shirt would be super expensive now.
These pants look so comfy. I often see people wearing pajama pants on the street here. They must be just too comfortable to resist.
At elementary schools, there’s a special day called Pajama Day, when students and teachers wear pajamas to class. It was always fun to see everyone in their cozy clothes at school.
Pikachu pants from Pokémon. I really like the colour of these.
Oh, I used to love the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! I even had a toque with one of the characters. If I were younger, I’d definitely want to wear the black or pizza-themed ones.
Here’s a cap that says “Canada is Not a State.” These types of items have become more common since the tariff issues. The embroidery looks very well made.
This is the black version of the “Canada is Not a State” cap. I looked up the company behind this brand. They have a very diverse and well-organized factory in Canada, and they’re also very sustainable.
The one on the left looks especially cool, almost like a vintage cap, and it’s well-made.
At this store, almost all of the staff are friendly, kind, and helpful. I really like the atmosphere of this local shop. I had a great time browsing and taking pictures!

ウィンドウショッピング
特に何かを買うわけでもなくゴールを決めずにお店の中を見て回るのが好きです。いい刺激をもらえる気がするのです。でも、気分がのらないときは何も探索する気になりません。ウィンドウショッピングが楽しいと思えるときは調子がいい証拠で、好奇心旺盛のバロメーターなのだと思います。
ジャイアントタイガーという店にたまに行くのが好きです。カナダのディスカウントストアで、全土に約２６０店舗以上のチェーンがあるそうです。ロゴがとても明るいイメージでキャラクターが目を惹きます。
私の住む地域では、このお店の隣にアートストアがあるので、その二つの店をはしごするのは楽しいです。
これはジャイアントタイガーのマスコットキャラクターです。看板にものっている漫画風のトラです。昔っぽいコミック風のキャラクターがかわいらしいです。
マスコットは子どもたちの教育や発育を援助するための募金用だったのですね。
中でもメンズコーナーのTシャツをチェックするのが好きです。いつもバンドTシャツをメインとしたおもしろいデザインのものがあって、アニメプリントものなどがあります。お手頃価格で、どんなものがあるのか見るのが楽しいです。
これはサム・ハントのシャツです。タグの部分にもサム・ハントと記載されているのがおもしろいです。すでにいい感じに古く加工されたネイビーのシャツにプリントされたまっ赤なロゴの色合いがいい味わいを出しています。
これはかっこいいですね。ウィリー・ネルソンのシャツです。真っ黒のシャツに大きなプリントがいい感じです。夏の庭仕事用に主人が購入しました。
こちらはトム・ペティ&ザ・ハートブレイカーズのシャツです。彼らのミュージックビデオを観るのは楽しいです。７０年代のロックを聴くと、なぜか穏やかな気持ちになります。
これはピンク・フロイドのシャツです。お馴染みのロゴですね。私はあまりピンク・フロイドを聴かないのですが、おもしろいデザインのものが多いな〜と興味はあります。
こちらはAC⚡DC のシャツです。誰もが一度はグッズや音楽に触れたことがあるのではないでしょうか。すでにヴィンテージ風になっているロゴがいい感じです。
ここで、突然の女子Tシャツ、ハローキティです！よく考えると、私は今までハローキティのTシャツを着たことが一度もありません。
これも女性用のTシャツでガーフィールドのプリントです。ジャイアントタイガーのロゴのトラにどことなく似ている気がします。そういえば、ピンク色のTシャツも今まで着たことがありません。でも、この手触りが良さそうなソフト生地は好きです。
これは好きです！男性用のスヌーピーのプリントTシャツです。スヌーピーの後ろにある虹色のバンがかわいいですね。ウッドストックも車の屋根の上に乗っています。なんとたったの１１ドルです。私はプリントシャツをもうあまり着ることがありませんが、昔はビンテージシャツが好きでした。
またまたピンク・フロイドのTシャツです。このデザインのオリジナルはものすごく高い価格だと思います。
これははき心地が良さそうなパジャマのズボンです。よくこのまま外を歩いている人を見かけます。おそらくはき心地が良すぎて脱げないのでしょうね。
小学校では、パジャマデーと呼ばれる日があって、先生も生徒たちもみんなパジャマで登校します。みんな心地良いパジャマを着て楽しそうに授業を受けます。
ポケモンのピカチュウのパジャマのズボンです。やはりこの色合いがいいですね。
おぉ、ミュータントタートルズです！昔、好きでタートルズのニット帽をかぶっていました。もし今子どもだったら黒のタートルズかピザのスリッパをはきたいです。
こちらは「カナダ イズ ノット ア ステート」と書かれた帽子です。最近の関税の問題があってからというもの、こういった商品が増えました。この刺繍はかなり質がいいです。
これは「カナダ イズ ノット ア ステート」の黒バージョンです。このブランドを調べてみると、カナダにある工場で多様性あるサステイナブルな会社でした。
左側のキャップはビンテージ風でとてもいい出来です。
この店舗の店員さんは、たいへん友好的で親切ないいスタッフさんが多いです。雰囲気のいい店です。今回も写真を撮りながらウィンドウショッピングを楽しみました！
