The Season of Floating Birch Fluff Has Arrived
As I wrote in the title section, birch fluff is everywhere, making it look like we have snow falling again. It's a very common scene in my hometown because there are birch trees and poplar trees almost everywhere.
When I look up at the sky, the trees look like they feel that the truly comfortable season has arrived for them. I love the variety of trees around my place. The new maples, birches, trembling aspens, and oak trees have created a mini forest next to my driveway.
A few years ago, there were fewer trees next to the chive garden, but this mini forest looks like it is creating gentle shade for the chives. I'm looking forward to visiting the cool mini forest this coming summer.
Last summer was extremely dry, and we had problems with our well drying up, which was so tough for us. I don't want to remember that difficult summer now that I have a newly drilled well. However, I noticed that the creek had less water the other day. Fortunately, I heard the creek flowing this morning, so there is still some water running through it.
Some late spring flowers have suddenly started growing healthily. I love seeing them every day, especially in the early mornings and evenings near sunset. However, bugs are constantly attacking me, so my arms and legs are covered with swollen bites.
When I had my DNA tested, I found that my genetic type tends to attract more mosquito bites. Hmm, that's interesting. That's probably why I'm always getting bitten by mosquitoes. When I look back at my childhood photo albums, it seems like I was the only one who had mosquito bites all over my face.
This birch fluff really looks like snow. Yes, it's beautiful, but it's also causing my spring allergies. This year's allergic reaction has been especially severe.
Here comes the sun♪ My dog always looks so alert and happy when he smells and experiences nature. He looks like he is floating in the air when he dashes outside. I really hope this pleasant weather continues longer, without being interrupted by the lingering cold from winter.

白樺の綿毛が舞う季節がやってきた
白樺の綿毛についてはタイトルにも書いたように、あたり一面に舞っていて、まるでまた雪が降っているかのようです。白樺やポプラの木が至るところにあるので、私の故郷ではとてもありふれた光景です。
空を見上げると、木たちはようやく本当に心地よい季節がやって来たと感じているように見えます。家の周りにあるさまざまな種類の木々が大好きです。若いカエデや白樺、アメリカヤマナラシ（トレンブリングアスペン）、オークの木たちが自然に育ってきたので、私の家の私道部分の横に小さな森が出来上がりました。
数年前は、チャイブの畑の横には木が少なかったのですが、この小さな森がチャイブにやさしい木陰を作ってくれているようです。今年の夏、この涼しいミニ森林を訪れるのを楽しみにしています。
昨年の夏はとても乾燥していて、井戸が枯れる問題に悩まされ、本当に大変でした。新しく井戸を掘った今となっては、あのつらい夏の乾燥のことを思い出したくありません。でも先日、小川の水量が少なくなっていることに気づきました。幸い今朝は小川のせせらぎが聞こえたので、まだ水は流れているようです。
春の終わり頃に咲く花たちも、急に元気よく育ち始めました。私は毎日それらを見るのが大好きで、特に早朝や夕暮れ時の景色がお気に入りです。とはいえ、虫たちには絶えず攻撃してくるので、腕や脚には腫れた虫刺されの跡がたくさんあります。
以前DNA検査を受けたとき、自分は蚊に刺されやすい体質だということがわかりました。それは面白い発見でした。なるほど…、だから私はいつも蚊に刺されてしまうのでしょう。子どもの頃のアルバムを見返すと、顔に蚊に刺された跡があるのは私だけだったように思います。
この白樺の綿毛は本当に雪のようです。もちろん美しいのですが、その一方で春のアレルギーの原因にもなっています。今年のアレルギー症状は特にひどく、とてもつらいです。

私の犬は、自然の匂いを嗅いだり空気を感じたりすると、いつも目を輝かせてとても嬉しそうになります。外へ駆け出す姿は、まるで宙に浮いているかのようです。冬の名残の寒さが少し和らぎ、この心地よい天気ができるだけ長く続いてくれたらいいなと心から願っています。
