Happy Garden

The weather here is stable, not too cool, not too hot. However, the morning and evening breezes are quite comfortable. My garden flowers are very colourful and cheerful, with yellow, orange, pink, purple, and white blooms everywhere.

Birds, bees, and many kinds of bugs are in my garden. I wrote about the decline in bees over the past few years. This year, I’ve noticed some bumblebees, but there seem to be fewer wasps and honeybees. Overall, the number of bees is steadily decreasing.

If we don't have enough bees in nature, what will happen to our lives? Many plants won’t be pollinated, which means less food, like fruits and vegetables. Nature would lose balance, wildflowers would disappear, and animals that depend on them would suffer. Bees may be small, but they are essential for life...

I'm actually scared of this phenomenon. Small bugs play such a meaningful role in our lives. In this area, people are renting bees. The bees are kept in colourful containers, and you can see these colourful boxes placed in the gardens.

These lily flowers are always doing well. I introduced them before. They were a gift from the crows. I planted the bulbs they dropped and later transplanted them next to my mint flowers. They look very healthy growing together.

Snap pea flowers are very pretty. They look like colourful butterflies resting on the plants. So delicate and beautiful, they brighten up the garden.

These are so beautiful. Hosta flowers are very elegant. They look like they’re wearing gorgeous white dresses in my garden.

I searched for the name of these flowers last year, but I’ve forgotten it. The photo doesn’t show the right information, so I can’t recognize them this time. Do you see the insect inside the flower? It looks like it’s resting in a cozy flower bed.

Wow… they’re so beautiful. These were my grandmother’s favourite flowers. She used to enjoy eating the bulbs, though I didn’t like them much myself. Still, I miss her cooking since she stopped due to her age. I want to show this photo to my grandmother.

ハッピーな庭

このところ穏やかな天候です。寒くなく、暑くもなく、ちょうどいいです。朝晩は涼しく過ごしやすいです。庭の花はとてもカラフルで元気そうです。黄色、オレンジ、ピンク、むらさき、白など至る所に咲き乱れています。

鳥、蜂やさまざまな種類の虫たちが庭に生息しています。以前から、蜂の数が年々減少していることについて書いています。今年は、マルハナバチの数はある程度落ち着いているように感じますが、スズメバチとミツバチの数は減っているように思います。まとめると、蜂の数が減少し続けていると思います。

もしも、十分な蜂がいなくなってしまったとしたら、私たちの暮らしはどうなってしまうのか？たくさんの植物が受粉できなくなってしまいます。そうなると、私たちの食べ物に影響が及び、果物や野菜が育たなくなります。自然界のバランスが崩れ、野花が激減し、その植物を必要としている動物に大打撃が起きます。体の小さな蜂ですが、暮らしにとってとても必要なのですね…。

この現象ははっきり言って怖いです。小さな虫たちが暮らしに与える影響は大きいと思います。この地域では、蜂をレンタルする習慣があります。蜂たちがカラフルな箱の中に入っていて、庭に積んである様子を見かけます。

この百合の花はいつも通り元気にやってくれています。以前投稿したことがあるのですが、球根は近所のカラスがうちの庭に落としていってくれた贈り物です。それを拾って、庭のミントの隣に埋めました。どちらも健康的に育っています。

スナップエンドウの花はとても可愛らしいです。まるで蝶々のように見えます。とても繊細で綺麗な花だと思います。庭を盛り上げてくれる花の一つです。

美しい！ オオバギボウシはとてもエレガントな花だと思います。白いドレスを着て庭に座っているような感じです。

これは去年調べたのですが、名前を忘れてしまいました。スマホが正しい名前を明記してくれないので、今回は調べられませんでした。花の中に虫がいるのが見えますか？心地よさそうな花のベッドの上で寝ているように見えます。

こちらも美しい。祖母の好きな百合の花です。昔、百合の根を使った煮物をよく作ってくれました。私はどちらかというと、百合の根の煮物が苦手でした。今は懐かしく思います。祖母は、歳をとって料理をしなくなったのですが、あの百合の根の煮物が食べたいです。
