Finally, Spring Has Come Or Not?

Snow is still here, but I notice some hints of spring. For example, the snow texture has changed from smooth and soft to sherbet-like. The sun is shining, and I've seen Robins and Cardinals. The air has become milder, and the smell of winter is fading, replaced by a hint of spring.

I always feel like winter is too long, but this winter was pretty ideal. We didn't have much snow in November and December. In January and February, we had a few snowstorm days, but not too many. I didn't have to shovel snow much, and we didn't need to call snow plow trucks often. In fact, we only booked a snow plow truck once so far. My winter depression wasn't as long this year due to less snow. Hopefully, spring will come soon in early March, although sometimes we don't experience spring until late April or early May.

The other day, I took some cool photos at the big empty field with my dog. My dog enjoyed catching snowballs, and I enjoyed admiring the snow shapes on the field. I love the smooth shapes of snow and was fascinated by a truck sitting on the field. My husband said that it resembled something out of the movie Star Wars. The snow shapes around the truck looked like snow waves, formed during a stormy day when the winter pushed and froze the snow in this unique pattern.

やっと春が来たのでしょうか？

まだ雪がありますが、何となく春の兆しを感じます。例えば、雪質が滑らかで柔らかい手触りからシャーベット状の雪質に変わってきました。太陽が照り、ロビンとカーディナルを見かけました。空気もマイルドになって冬の匂いが和らぎ、春の香りがしてきました。

私はいつも冬が長すぎると感じているのですが、今季の冬は理想的に感じます。１１月と１２月は雪が少なくて、１月と２月は多少吹雪の日がありましたがそこまで多くはありませんでした。あまり雪かきをしなくてよかったですし、除雪車を頻繁に呼ばなくてもよかったです。実際、除雪機はまだ一度しか予約していません。雪が少ないことで冬の鬱々とした気持ちも少なく済みました。このまま３月は雪が降らずに春になって欲しいです。最悪な時は４月の下旬や５月の初旬まで寒い時があります。

先日、犬の散歩で広い野原に連れて行った時に写真を撮りました。私の犬は雪玉のキャッチをして楽しみ、私は雪の形を眺めて写真を楽しみました。雪の中にずっと停車しているトラックはまるで映画のスターウォーズから抜け出してきたかのようだと主人が言っていました。トラックの周りの雪は波打ったようになったままの形が残っています。吹雪の日に風が押し寄せた雪がそのまま凍りついてこのような形になったのでしょう。
