Birthday Boy in Powder Snow
My dog just turned eight yesterday. I can’t believe it’s been eight years since I got him. He has grown very well and is still very healthy. Since I changed his diet, he has lost weight, and his muscles are soft and strong. He runs very quickly, jumps high and smoothly, and walks briskly every day.
It had been a while since I had seen the blue sky. Today was a sunny day when I woke up. I could see the sun coming through the blinds in the living room this morning. It’s a small thing, but my mood immediately changed when I saw the sunlight. It’s so fascinating, the sunshine’s power. The sunshine has such a powerful energy to charge the human body with cheerful chi. It's the same for animals. My dog looks so happy when he feels the sunshine.
The amount of snow on the old well is so high now. It looks like a macaron with sparkling, fluffy, fresh cream.
I like the shining snow because it looks like diamonds. It’s so delicate, fluffy, and beautiful. My dog loves to put his nose in the fluffy snow. My previous dog also loved to jump into the fresh, fluffy snow like a fox. She was a pretty black and white Siberian Husky. I loved watching her jump into the snow. She looked like she was flying. The Siberian Husky is such a beautiful creature, I think. I really miss her. She lived for 15 years. She was my best friend for many years.
Look at this funny boy in his winter jacket. I found some clean icicles in the backyard. I picked some up and showed them to him. He looked so curious about the new experience. Actually, he likes eating ice cubes from the fridge in the hot summer. However, he had never tried icicles. He loves carrying sticks, so I gave him one. He really enjoyed carrying it and ate it so quickly. He looked like he was carrying a crystal sword.
The eight-year-old boy looked so calm compared to his puppy days. He still has his naughty side, though, appearing almost every day. He bites my blanket, takes tissues from the garbage bin, takes our slippers away, makes a mess on the bed, takes toilet rolls and makes a mess everywhere... and so on.
However, he is a good boy at heart every day. He is such a smart, pretty, sensitive, playful, and easy-going boy. He is my funny and gentle buddy in life.

私の犬は昨日で８歳になりました。彼を迎えてからもう８年も経つなんて信じられません。とてもよく成長し、今もとても健康です。食事を変えてから体重が落ち、筋肉は柔らかく、そして強くなりました。毎日、素早く走り周り、高くスムーズに跳び、元気に歩いています。
青空を見るのは久しぶりです。今日、目を覚ますと晴れているのを感じました。朝のリビングにブラインドの隙間から差し込む太陽の光が見えました。小さなことですが、その光を見た瞬間、私の心はパッと変わりました。太陽の光の力は本当に素晴らしいです。日光には、人の体に活気あふれる気をチャージするような、強力なエネルギーがあるのではないかと思います。動物も同じなのではないでしょうか。私の犬は日光を感じると、とても幸せそうな顔をします。
古い井戸の上に雪がこんもりと積もっています。キラキラと輝く、ふわふわの生クリームをのせたマカロンのようです。
私は太陽が当たってキラキラと輝く雪を見るのが好きです。ダイヤモンドのように見えるからです。とても繊細で、ふわふわで、きれいです。私の犬はふわふわの雪に鼻を突っ込んで遊ぶのが大好きです。以前飼っていた犬も、狐のように新鮮でふわふわの雪に飛び込むのが大好きでした。彼女は黒と白のきれいなシベリアン・ハスキーでした。雪の中に飛び込む彼女を見るのが好きでした。まるで飛んでいるようでした。シベリアン・ハスキーは本当に美しい生き物だと思います。彼女がとても恋しいです。１５年生きてくれました。長い間、私の最高の友達でした。
冬用ジャケットを着たおもしろい子を見てください。裏庭でいくつかきれいなつららを見つけました。取って彼に見せると、新しい経験にとても興味深そうにしていました。彼は、暑い夏には冷蔵庫の角氷を食べるのが好きです。でも、つららは試したことはありません。枝を運ぶのが大好きなので、代わりにつららを渡してみました。とても楽しそうに運び、あっという間に食べてしまいました。まるで水晶の剣を運んでいるようでした。
８歳になった彼は、子犬の頃と比べてとても落ち着いて見えます。とはいえ、ほぼ毎日のようにいたずらな面はまだあります。私の毛布を噛んだり、ゴミ箱からティッシュを取ったり、スリッパをどこかへ持っていったり、ベッドをめちゃくちゃにしたり、トイレットペーパーを持ち出してあちこちを散らかしたり…などなど。
でも、毎日、良い子です。とても賢く、美しくて、繊細で、遊び心があり、そして気難しいところが全くないです。私の人生で、楽しくて優しい相棒です。
