“Birds Visit”

I took these bird photos last year. The left one is a Woodpecker and the right one is a Blue Jay. They both visited at different times but I am sharing at the same time.

I see Blue Jays almost all the time except in super cold winter. The Blue Jay was on the fence in my backyard at this time. I wanted to take a photo because it was very close to my window. It was looking at me. Can you see it? It was very cute. Blue Jayd are a very tough and friendly bird. I don't feed them but they eat our tree seeds and bugs.

The Woodpecker lives near our house. It comes to our trees sometimes. One day, when I was in my house, I heard a strange noise like somebody is knocking on the door or something. I didn't see anybody. Then, I noticed it was the Woodpecker inside our outside door. Wow! It was pecking our door. I took a photo of it. Then, it noticed me but it didn't stop. I had to open my inside door to stop it because it was very powerful. It might make holes in our outside door if I didn't stop it. Finally, it flew away. It was a cute visitor anyway.

I hope they will come back to our house this spring and summer as well.

「鳥の訪問」

この写真は去年撮ったものです。左はキツツキで右がブルージェイ（青カケス）です。この２羽が来たタイミングは別々の日でしたが、一緒の写真にして投稿しています。

ものすごく寒い日以外は、ブルージェイを頻繁に見かけます。この日のブルージェイは裏庭のフェンスの上にいました。窓にとても近いところにいたので、写真を撮りたいなと思いました。私を見ていました。コチラを見ている顔が見えますか？とてもかわいらしかったです。ブルージェイはタフですが人懐っこい鳥です。わたしは餌付けはしませんが、家の庭の実や虫を食べに来ます。

キツツキは家の近くに住んでいます。家の庭の木にたまにやってきます。ある日、家の中にいると、外からドアか何かを叩くような変な音がしてきました。ところが確認しても誰もいません。なんと正体はキツツキでした！キツツキが外の土間のドアを突いているのに気がつきました。写真を撮ったのに気づいてもお構いなしでドアを突いていました。すごい力なので、ドアに穴が開く前に内側のドアを開けて驚かすしかありませんでした。ようやく飛んで行きました。かわいい訪問者でした。

今年の春と夏にはまたやってきてくれるといいなと思います。
