Autumn Photo Collection

I like seeing the autumn colours in nature, even though I would prefer to stay warm forever... I heard that this time's El Niño–Southern Oscillation is continuing, which means that the temperature will be warmer this coming winter. Of course, I'm concerned about the ongoing issue of global warming, but a warm winter sounds a little reassuring when we think about our cold winters every year.

Whether it's true or not, I heard that if the weather isn't cold enough, the leaves don't develop such vivid colours as red, yellow, and orange. I'm sharing some photos from my autumn photo collection that I took a few years ago. In addition, I'm sharing some autumn photos from around the same time this year. I can see that there is still a lot of green this year. My burning bushes haven't turned red yet this year.

I still wear T-shirts and sandals these days. Some mornings and nights are chilly, so I have to use the heat pump and blankets, though. I like using a fluffy blanket on my couch. A cozy atmosphere at home makes me feel calm and comfortable.

Yesterday, I finally finished carrying and stacking the wood for our wood stove. I felt relieved at the end of the day. Seeing the huge pile of wood in the parking lot in front of the car made me worried. Whenever I saw the amount of wood from the dining room window, I would think, “Can I finish all of the winter preparation work before winter actually arrives?” Luckily, my work schedule is stable now, so I've been able to make time for yard work these days.

Look at these colourful pumpkins at the local farm stand. This annual farm stand started selling corn, jalapeño peppers, eggplants, tomatoes, watermelons, and other fresh vegetables in the middle of the summer. Everyone looks so happy while checking out the fresh vegetables.

I love the ones with green, decoration-like patterns on the orange pumpkins. They all look so beautiful. They are waiting for someone to pick them.

Can you see the kitten? It looks so pretty and tiny. People sighed when they saw it because it was just too cute.

Unfortunately, I have a cat allergy, so I can't touch it. I really wanted to touch it and play with it. I had to try so hard to control my impulse. I enjoyed watching other people touch it.

Here comes another one. This one is a bit bigger. I saw it when it was a little smaller. It was sleeping on the counter last time. It is so playful and curious.

It is chasing the angel hair, which we call keseran paseran. I loved watching it look so free and playful. I don't think anyone can stay aggressive in front of kittens and puppies.

When I turned around, my husband was holding one of the cats. He looked so happy petting it. The kitten was playing with and biting his fleece zipper. It was adorable, even though I had to take an allergy pill when I got home!

Anyway, I will keep my eyes on the autumn colours in nature and take some colourful photos soon!

秋の写真コレクション

自然の中の秋の色を見るのが好きです。でも、できることなら、ずっと暖かいままでいてほしいと思うのが本音です。今回のエルニーニョはまだ続いているそうで、今年の冬は気温が高くなるだろうと聞きました。もちろん、進み続ける地球温暖化の問題については心配していますが、毎年の寒い冬のことを考えると、暖かい冬になるというのは、少しホッとする気持ちにもなります。

本当かどうかは定かではありませんが、寒さの割合が十分でないと、葉っぱは赤や黄色、オレンジ色などの鮮やかさが変わると聞いたことがあります。今回は、数年前に撮った秋の写真をいくつか紹介します。それに加えて、今年の同じ時期ごろに撮った秋の写真も載せています。今年は、まだ緑色がたくさん残っているのがわかります。私のニシキギも、今年は赤くなる気配がまだ遠い感じがします。

最近もまだ、Tシャツとサンダルで過ごしています。朝晩は少し肌寒いので、エアコンの温風やブランケットを使わなければならないこともあります。私はソファでふわふわのブランケットを使うのが好きです。家の中が居心地のよい雰囲気だと、気持ちが落ち着いて、ほっとします。

昨日、ついに薪ストーブ用の薪を運んで、積み上げる作業を終えました。一日の終わりに、かなりほっとしました。車の前の駐車スペースに大きな薪の山があるのを見ると、心配になっていました。ダイニングの窓から薪の量を見るたびに、「本格的な冬が来る前に、冬の準備を全部終わらせることができるかな？」と思っていました。幸い、今は仕事のスケジュールが程よく安定しているので、最近は庭仕事の時間を作ることができています。

地元の農家の直売所にある、こんなにカラフルなカボチャが並んでいました。毎年営業しているこの直売所では、夏の真ん中ごろから、とうもろこし、ハラペーニョ、ナス、トマト、スイカなど、新鮮な野菜を売り始めます。お客さんたちは、新鮮な野菜を見ながら、とても楽しそうです。

オレンジ色のカボチャに、緑色の飾りのような模様が入っているものが、特に好きです。どれも本当にきれいですね。誰かに選んでもらうのを待っているみたいです。

子猫が見えますか？とてもかわいくて、小さいです。子猫を見た人たちは、あまりのかわいさに思わずため息がもれていました。

残念ながら、私は猫アレルギーがあるので、触ることができません。本当は触って、一緒に遊びたかったです。触りたい衝動を一生懸命に抑えなければなりませんでした。ほかの人たちが子猫を触っているのを見て楽しみました。

もう一匹来ました。こちらの猫ちゃんは少し大きいです。もう少し小さかったころにも見たことがあります。前に見たときは、カウンターの上で寝ていました。とても遊び好きで、好奇心旺盛です。

子猫は、ケセランパサランと呼んでいるのですが、ふわふわの綿毛であるエンジェルヘアを追いかけています。自由に、楽しそうに遊んでいる姿を見るのが楽しかったです。子猫や子犬を目の前にしたら、誰も攻撃的な気持ちにはなれないんじゃないかな、と思います。

ふと振り返ると、主人が子猫を一匹を抱いていました。猫をなでながら、とても嬉しそうにしています。子猫は夫のフリースのファスナーで遊んだり、それを噛んだりしていました。本当にかわいかったです。家に帰ってからアレルギーの薬を飲まなければならなかったけれども！

さて、これからも自然の中の秋の色に目を向けて、近いうちにカラフルな写真をたくさん撮りたいと思います！
