Autumn Walk

Autumn colours are everywhere since the temperature has dropped in the mornings and evenings these days. I still feel the lingering effects of summer, but autumn is truly here. I often wonder why summer sometimes arrives late. However, autumn always seems to come quickly... I wish the warm weather would stay longer. Sadly, it won’t.

These days, the afternoons are so calm and comfortable, and autumn is surely here. I’ve noticed some small autumn hints during my walks with my dog and husband. I sometimes bring my phone to take pictures of my neighbourhood. Whenever I notice a beautiful angle, my husband and dog also seem to notice some stunning scenes as well.

Sumac leaves are so red and vivid. I love them very much because, when the wind moves them, they look as if they are waving.

Apples! They look so delicious. This apple tree always makes a lot of apples like this. They look very tempting, but unfortunately, we can’t reach them. I wish I could…

There is a wasp hive in the tree. Last year, there was a similar hive on the electric line. I was worried it might be damaged by the snow, wind, or other things. This one looks much safer, placed in a comfortable-looking tree near the apple tree. Hopefully, it will survive the coming winter.

Rose hips look so juicy and shiny. They are almost everywhere in my area.

Canada goldenrod, when it loses its colour, turns into fluffy, cotton-like flowers. They look so soft and fluffy.

Michaelmas daisies are also almost everywhere. I love them so much! Their elegant purple makes me feel very calm and gentle. Their fragrance isn’t strong, but bees still gather around them in great numbers.

Apples lie on the side of the road like this. They look so delicious and make good food for many animals. When my dog goes for a walk, he accidentally kicks them down the slope, and they roll little by little. I love watching that moment.

Again, I can’t reach them, but they look like super juicy food for the birds. It’s as if they’re saying, ‘We are ready!’

Maple leaves are also slowly changing colour from green to red. They have such pretty shapes.

秋の散歩

朝晩の気温が低くなってきたので、秋の色があらゆるところで見られるようになりました。夏の余韻をまだ感じるのですが、確実に秋が来た感覚がします。よく思うのですが、なぜ、夏は遅れてやってくることがあるのに、秋はあまり遅くならないのでしょうか。この暖かさがしばらく続いてくれることを望みます。なかなかそうはいかないのでしょうが…。

最近、午後はとても穏やかで心地よい感じがしますが、やはり秋の気配を感じます。主人と犬と一緒に散歩していると、小さな秋をあちこちで見かけました。ときどきスマホを持って行って近所の写真を撮ります。写真に撮りたい被写体を見つけると、主人と犬もいいアングルに気がついて教えてくれます。

スマックの葉っぱは真っ赤で鮮明です。風が吹いて葉っぱが揺れると手を振っているように見えるので好きです。

りんごです！とてもおいしそうです。このりんごの木は毎年たくさんのりんごの実をつけます。ものすごく食べ頃に見えるのですが、残念ながらどうやっても届かない場所にあるのです。届けばいいのですが…。

スズメバチの巣が見えます。去年は電線の上に巣を作っていました。雪や風でダメージを受けないかどうか心配でした。こちらの方が断然安全そうですし、りんごの木の近くの心地よさそうな木の上にあります。今年の冬を無事に越えられますように。

このローズヒップはみずみずしくてキラキラ光っています。この辺りにはそこらじゅうになっています。

セイタカアワダチソウは色褪せてくるとフワフワになって、綿のような花になります。やわらかそうです。

友禅ギクもそこらじゅうに生えています。とても好きな花です！とても優雅な花で、穏やかで優しい気持ちにさせてくれます。香りはキツくないのですが、蜂が常に周りを飛んでいます。

りんごがたくさん道路脇に転がっています。とてもおいしそうですし、動物たちのいいご飯です。私の犬は、このあたりの坂道を歩くたびに、後ろ足で偶然蹴ってしまいます。りんごがコロコロ転がるのを見るのが楽しいです。

ここにもみずみずしくておいしそうなりんごがなっていますが、残念ながら届きません。鳥たちのご飯ですね。「食べ頃ですよ！」と言っているようです。

メープルの葉も少しずつ緑色から赤に変化しています。メープルの葉っぱは本当に綺麗な形をしています。
