Never before seen dark pinup work w/ Penny!

What’s up, Hive? I’m trying to unwind after a long day. Errands and running. Work around the house and garden that resulted in being stung by yellow jackets. I did get new matte black rims put on my Tesla Model Y, which increases the sexiness by a factor of ten. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks, I’ll be meeting up with @ericvancewalton to see his new Model 3. @vermillionfox is off to LA so it’s me and @guthrie for a couple days. @ghostfish and I are making our way to an Airstream trailer for a brief writer’s retreat. I’m looking forward to that because I’ve feel overwhelmed the last few months.

The work I’m sharing tonight; this is interesting. Over the years, I’ve shot for Suicide Girls several times. In fact, my sessions have gotten a few well known suicide girls over the, “official”, threshold. Melenci became a Suicide Girl from our first shoot together years ago called The Artistry Of Heat.

She’s gone on to become a big deal and the photos I’m sharing tonight are with Penny Dreadful. Also now a prominent model in the Suicide Girls world, although I can’t take any credit it for her accomplishments within the company.

This shoot was years ago, hosted at @mada’s home in uptown Minneapolis, actually. We’d shot once before even years earlier, but I crossed quite a chasm in my skills since then. This was during the time that I found myself and my unique voice as a photographer. The concept of dark pinup as my own emerging esthetic was defined. I also had confidence and professional equipment. It all came together and this shoot gave us some memorable images that were the bridge for her Suicide Girls stardom.

Tomorrow is Friday and I’ll running in to the woods with @guthrie to try and forage more chicken of the woods mushrooms. I have some photography to finish and I’ll make it a priority to post whatever I edit tomorrow evening because Saturday, @ghostfish and I will be without service in the woods of Monticello, MN. I’ve got a lot to suss out in my life with Immutable Realms for EOS, @mirrorpool and @neverwel projects, and of course Kong is still in production. Feeling overwhelmed is the only thing consistent.
